I have to agree with the review that Jessica wrote.
I wanted to share some feedback about my recent stay. This is actually my second time staying at the property because I truly enjoy the pool and facilities—they’re beautiful and very family-oriented. Unfortunately, this stay highlighted some areas where I feel the experience could be improved.
I had specifically reserved a garden room and noted that I am an oncology patient requiring accessibility. Upon arrival, I was told there was no room available, which was disappointing. The check-in policy of 4 p.m. is understandable, but in both of my stays, the room was not ready until after 4 p.m., which makes the wait even more difficult.
The room itself was also below expectations: the floors were chipped and dirty, and it lacked basic amenities like a microwave. Having to go to the restaurant to warm meals for my child—and having to sign multiple forms to do so—was inconvenient. Additionally, housekeeping seemed understaffed and service was inconsistent.
I want to emphasize that I do enjoy the property’s pool and overall family-friendly atmosphere, but the room conditions, accessibility issues, and staffing challenges really impacted this stay. I hope you can take this feedback constructively, as I would love to return if these areas are addressed.
Perfect Family Getaway!
My family and I were visiting from Houston, and we were very happy with our stay. From check-in to checkout, everything went smoothly. The staff was welcoming, the amenities were great, and the whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing—exactly what we needed for a break from the city.
The room was the highlight: super clean, comfortable, and smelled fresh. We felt right at home. The front desk staff was also very accommodating and kindly extended our checkout time since we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready.
What really stood out was how family-friendly everything was. Our kids loved the free s’mores kit, and they had a blast feeding the turtles—such a unique and fun experience! The beach was just a short walk away, which made it even better.
Everyone was friendly, and the property felt peaceful and well cared for. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back again!
🚨BED BUG ALERT🚨
Please read this if you’re even thinking of staying here. Never in my life have I left a bad review but my stay here warrants it. I stayed here the last week of August and what I thought would be a decent hotel was a nightmare I’m now paying THOUSANDS for. The first room my family and I were put into was a double queen facing the pool. It was horrible and completely out of date. Besides the slew of bed bug bites I received night one the room overall felt like a motel 6. The room was dingy, there was a constant pool of stagnant water by the entrance door from the outisde, the screen door lock to the patio was broken, the safe was broken, and the bathroom didn’t even have a stopper to prevent one from losing things down the drain. We spent one night in this room before complaining. The hotel was accommodating and put us into a newer/modern room but at that point the damage had already been done. Whatever bugs I had in the first room followed me to the second and I continued to receive bites the rest of my stay there. Because I didn’t actually catch the bug biting me at the time I tried to chalk it up to mosquitoes outside and ignored it. It’s now September 4th and I’ve been home for almost two weeks since staying there, I can confirm it was bed bugs after calling a pest control company to my apartment today. I took extreme preventative measures to try and not bring back the bed bugs I got from the Wyndham such as throwing out my hard suitcases AND keeping all of the items I packed in double sealed trash bags until I could wash everything thoroughly. This still didn’t work. After combing through their reviews, others have reported the same thing. They clearly have never properly addressed their bed bugs issue over the years which is absolutely disgusting and shame on them. I know on the surface this appears to be a decent budget friendly hotel but save yourself the trouble. My family and I cut corners and are now paying thousands of dollars to fix the damage this place caused. Not only have I paid the price monetarily but the psychological damage of having bed bugs has been the worst experience of my life. I’m being so serious do. not. stay. here.
The entire staff were polite, friendly and extremely caring! Every interaction they ensured all needs were meet and asked how my day was going and if I needed anything!
The resturaunt was absolutely amazing the food was delicious and presentation was great!
The only thing is the room is out dated but that was the only “negative” however, it was clean and smelled good!
We have stayed at the Wyndham Palmas Beach for 4 years in a roll. On all three previous stays we were super happy. This last visit was a little different. When we arrived no complementary drinks vouchers, TV channels for kids was out of service for 4 days straight, pool towels were difficult to fine and at one time i was running back and forward from one pool to the front desk back to the pool. The 2nd time we requested room service went through the front desk and nothing happened. Not the experience we expected.
