Island Reef Tours

Our experience with Island Reef Tours was spectacular, Cpt Alex and Edgardo were amazing and great company on the boat. They were extremely hospitable and showed us such an amazing time! Ellen, the owner, is running a terrific program and we wish her and her crew success and growth! It was well worth the few extra dollars to go private and be able to enjoy ourselves without a large group. The snorkeling was superb and afterwards, the party was bumping on the boat at the beach with the other two ladies that went along. I can certainly say that laying impressions and friendships were made today on the Caribbean and we WILL be back!! Thank you again for your services and the wonderful time!! Much love! This review details an incredibly frustrating and dishonest experience with Island Reef Tours. The issues began when a planned group trip in July for 16 people was canceled the day before due to a boat's transmission malfunction. Although Jonathan, a representative of the company, initially seemed helpful in arranging the trip, the subsequent handling of the refund became a major point of contention. A $1,000 deposit was paid, and Jonathan promised a refund within three days. However, his wife, Ellen, later stated that the company policy allowed up to two weeks for processing refunds. Even after the two-week period passed, no refund was received, and attempts to contact Jonathan or Ellen were met with silence. Further evidence of the company's unresponsiveness and questionable practices emerged when the group tried calling from a different number. Someone at Island Reef Tours answered, offered same-day reservations on a different boat, and requested Zelle payments instead of cash. When confronted about their lack of communication, the representative reportedly called the customers "liars." This experience suggests a pattern of misleading practices, lack of communication, and failure to fulfill refund commitments by Island Reef Tours, according to the review. The customer strongly urges others to avoid the company.

Danielle and Edgardo were the BEST. We had so much fun on our trip with them to three of the local islands. They made our experience seamless, but beyond that, they were an absolute joy to spend the day with. Absolutely will be coming back as soon as possible, and will recommend to anyone traveling to visit Puerto Rico.

We loved our experience with Island Reef Tours! Booking the tour was simple and responded quickly to all the questions we had. Our boat captains/snorkel guides Alex, Ziggy, and Benita were awesome!! We have been on many snorkeling tours before, but this one was the best! They took us to Icacos, where we saw a great reef full of fish (Sergeant Major, Yellow Tail, and many others), brain coral, and sea urchins. We even saw a HUGE barracuda! When my daughter hurt her fingernail because she bent it backwards on the mat, they were quick to help her. The kids had a blast jumping off the boat, playing on the float pad, and feeding the fish. Then they took us to another island where we saw a stingray and sea turtle!! We loved every minute!

Great time on Island Reef Tours! The captain Alex was amazing and catered to our every need! The booking process was seamless and Ellen was very quick to respond with any questions I had. I highly recommend chartering their boats. It was an amazing day!
