Stopped in on vacation while strolling the neighborhood to see if they might have a 20mm spring bar for my watch. I lost the spring bar while swimming (thankfully on a nato strap!) and had been carrying the watch in my backpack for a few days. I was given a replacement working minutes, and when I asked what the cost would be, the staff said, “ no charge.” I wasn’t expecting that at all and would have happily paid for the service. If I’m ever back in San Juan, this shop will always be on the list for a visit. Thanks again!!!
My engagement ring had a prong that was a bit loose so I called before hand to make sure the jeweler would be able to work on my ring in front of me. They said that would be fine and that their workshop was just a bit messy. I said that’s fine with me, no problem but just wanted to make sure before I drove there that they would be able to work on it in front of me, he agreed. When I got there the older gentleman, the jeweler, came down and inspected my ring saying he would charge me by ring size and that it would be $100 to adjust the ring. I knew this wasn’t a great price, but agreed anyways because I neeeded to get it done to make sure the diamond wouldn’t move anymore or fall out before I made it to the store I purchased the ring from in a few weeks. I then proceeded to go with him upstairs, he stopped me and said that I can’t watch him work and can’t go upstairs with him. I was very frustrated by this and of course declined the work on my ring. It is very upsetting because I drove 45 minutes to have my ring worked on and was assured I would be able to be present while they worked, only to be told something different when I arrived. The older jeweler gentleman was also VERY rude and had bad customer service. Very frustrating experience overall.
Fantastic jewelry repair service! Needed a ring resized while on vacation and got it done within hours here, incredibly friendly service as well. I would highly recommend this jeweler.
