A very cute shop with lots of options for gelato! They allow tastings. I really enjoyed the mango because it wasn’t too sweet and you can tell it’s made from real fruit! The coffee was also very delicious with no added sugar. A great treat for a really hot day in old San Juan! The shop doesn’t have much seating so be okay with standing.
Review of Anita Gelato, Puerto Rico
Anita Gelato in San Juan is a true gem, combining indulgence with a beautiful, unique ambiance. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the stunning interior design that perfectly captures the essence of elegance. The deep green patina walls paired with the sophisticated gold accents create a refined atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. It’s the kind of space where you’ll want to linger, and the inviting vibe only adds to the experience.
Of course, the real highlight here is the gelato. With an impressive array of flavors, each one is a work of art, both visually and in taste. The gelato presentation itself is stunning — each scoop is perfectly arranged, making it feel like you're enjoying a gourmet treat. As for the flavors, they're nothing short of amazing. I had the Salted Caramel and Biscuit Cheesecake, and I can’t recommend these enough. The Salted Caramel is rich with just the right amount of salty-sweet contrast, while the Biscuit Cheesecake brings a delightful creaminess with a touch of crumbled texture. Together, they’re an absolute flavor dream, complementing each other perfectly in every bite.
The staff at Anita Gelato are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. One thing to note is that it’s a popular spot, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially during peak hours. But trust me, the wait is worth it for such a high-quality treat.
In conclusion, Anita Gelato is a must-visit if you’re in San Juan. Whether you're there for the incredible gelato, the beautiful interior, or the warm service, it’s an experience that combines luxury with local charm. Highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious gelato! The flavors are rich, creamy, and full of taste... you can really tell it's high quality. The shop itself is beautiful and very inviting, with a cozy and stylish vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy. I loved both the ice cream and the overall experience. Definitely a place I’d come back to again and again!!!!
It is worth the wait. While the line goes round and round and out the door you will be rewarded. While outside you can view beautiful lights and old colonial style streets that lead up to the Governors residence. For 500 years people have been meeting and eating on these streets.
The gelato was so good. Creamy, bold flavor and cool on a warm night. We saw lots of happy people leaving Anita Gelato in Old San Juan.
Anita’s Gelato is hands down one of the best dessert spots around! The gelato is incredibly smooth, rich, and bursting with flavor, you can really taste the quality in every scoop. They have a huge variety of creative and classic options, from fruity sorbets to indulgent chocolatey blends. The shop itself is bright, welcoming, and always spotless, with friendly staff who are more than happy to let you sample before deciding. Whether you’re a gelato lover or just craving something sweet, Anita’s is a must visit. Don’t skip the pistachio or the white chocolate hazelnut, game changers!
