Got there at 8am on a Friday. Walked/hiked out to Punta Águila. Gorgeous! Walked back and picked a spot along the beach to enjoy the water. Need water shoes to walk through the water to Punta Aguila. As we walked back around 10am on a Saturday very crowded.
Really, really wanted to love this beach. Water is gorgeous, sand is clean. Went on a weekday and it was quiet and not the least bit crowded. However, bit of a smell, likely from the refuge nearby. And, ugh, annoying little flies and gnats (none biting, but just all everywhere, even followed me into the water)!!!
