This is our second time staying here! 4 years ago my wife and I had our honeymoon here and this time we came back with our kids. With enjoyed it both times. The pools, beach, and food are always so great. Ray and Nicolas at the Roots bar had a different drink for me to try every night and were so friendly to my wife and I. Absolutely loved seeing them. We’ll be back ASAP!
I recently stayed at the Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—especially the pool and front desk teams. The beach and pool areas were beautiful and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
Special shout-out to Beatrice at the pool for making the best frozen lemonade and going out of her way to make it fun for my son—she truly added a personal touch to our stay!
However, as an owner, I was disappointed with the condition of the room. The lampshade and TV remote were dirty, and the bathroom ceiling showed visible signs of water damage. The pans in the unit were burnt and badly scratched, which was frustrating. That said, once I called, housekeeping quickly brought replacements—a prompt response I appreciated. Still, it would have been better if the room had been properly stocked and inspected before our arrival.
The biggest issue was the laundry facilities—not all machines none of them were working properly, and I learned that management is already aware of the problem yet it’s still and issue: If you’re planning to do laundry during your stay, be prepared for the inconvenience or consider other options.
Overall, while the resort has a lot of charm and the staff are warm and welcoming, the upkeep of the rooms needs serious attention. I hope to see improvements on my next visit because the potential is definitely there—it just needs to be matched with higher maintenance standards.
We had a fantastic vacation here. If you're trying to decide while reading reviews, please book this for yourself. The property is 10/10, the staff is 15/10 and the drinks at the tiki bar from Angel are 20/10(The other bartenders are fantastic too, go talk to them). There is an adult pool which really makes the experience. Go see Carol at the adult pool towel hut if you need a good/long conversation(she is FANTASTIC, and a nerd). Can not wait to get back here, do yourself a favor and stay a few extra days. Also, do not sleep on the Iguana feeding(Spicy, is spicy) or the Restaurants on site(sad I didn't get to try more)
The pictures online dont not do this place justice. It's beautiful! It's shared with Wyndam Rio Mar resort as well which is cool because you can use their amenities as well. The Rio has an adult only area which is nice to get away from all the kids.
There are 3-4 different pools, right on the beach, plenty of options for food, drinks and relaxation. It was my first time at this location and I will definitely be back!
I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the property here. From the start the front desk and concierge were absolutely wonderful. A special shoutout to Elisa who is an absolute sweetheart and answered all of my silly questions! Next the bellmen and house staff. Every single one of them were so kind and exceptionally nice (quick too!) The food and beverage staff is what puts this place at 5 stars for me. No matter what restaurant you go to the food was great and the staff was so accommodating to our requests and allergies! My favorite part of our stay was going to Caicu every night, the atmosphere was rich and the music was great! A really special shout out to Raul and Jose our favorite bartenders. First off they both provided incredible service, they make the best drinks and get 5 stars for presentation. Raul would engage in wonderful conversations that kept us coming back every night and Jose would teach us about local liquors and their history on the island. I cannot thank the two of them more- we hope to see them when we come back! The pools at the property were well maintained and wonderfully refreshing, our favorite was the Aura swim lounge. The beach was clean and the water was so clear. They have a fire pit lit every night the hotel is nestled in the valley of the rainforest which provides the most beautiful views. Overall this property has my heart and we will definitely be coming back in the future.
