Love this place!!! This is a must anytime a visit Jayuya. Boardwalk is in excellent condition and maintenence of the are is great. Keep in mind that they are working on the road so to get there it's a bit rough. Take your time taking all of what nature has to offer while walking to ger to the river. It is just beautiful. There are rocks with petroglyphs that you can clearly see as soon as the boardwalk ends. Please don't leave trash behind.
Beautiful and peaceful swimming hole and historic site. Loved the petroglyphs and healing water. There were a few groups of people but it wasn’t toooo crowded. The boardwalk down is nice too and the water isn’t too deep at all.
Another super cool history site... ramps leading to the rock with indigenous drawings are well done for easy access. At the parking place, a nice bar with super fair prices for drinks. The scenery is amazing. If you are adventurous... take a quick dip as I did... be careful with lots of rocks and shallow spots as you do it. Enjoy it!
First, the actual artifact has been wonderfully preserved. It's in a beautiful location where you can just let yourself be embraced by the countryside and nature.
Moreover though, someone put an amazing amount of care and thought into the visitors experience. There's a lovingly crafted walkway that leads from the parking lot down to the river with several overlook locations which provide a wonderful opportunity to just take in the area.
