It’s a pretty tough hike. Lots of exposed roots, slippery rocks, muddy terrain. If you’re in decent shape you’ll be fine. Once you come up the main road there will be a parking lot attendant whom you’ll pay $5 to get into the lot. Once you park, go to opposite end of the parking lot from where you entered. That’s where the trail heads down parallel to the river. You’ll cross the river a couple times back and forth. The trail is pretty easy to pick up on the other side. At a certain point you’ll be on the left side of the river and you won’t see a definite trail on the other side. Look up and to your left and you’ll see a mud staircase leading steeply up the bank to your left. The steps have gravel on top and some have cement. They’re steep but much easier than some of the muddy steps you’ll find elsewhere. Those steps lead you to an upper road/trail that you’ll take for the rest of the way to the falls. Once you’re almost to the falls, you descend down one of several trails/water runoffs to the main area. Here you’ll be able to see people rope swing and cliff jump into the deeper areas. Head across and up the right side to get to a second waterfall further back. Getting to the second waterfall requires a little scrambling. There are some large boulders you have to get up, but there was a rope in place to give you some extra help. There are a lot of tour groups that lead huge groups on this trail so you’ll probably have a lot of company at the main area. Do a little research and you’ll be fine.

The road to get here was very tight and has some pot holes. Be careful. There is a house on the right hand side where you can park for $5. We suggest going through the stairs as the walk is on pavement for a little then natural forest surface. Dress appropriately because you will get muddy and you’ll want to dip into the water. Mosquitoes love me so if you’re like me wear repellent. We had water shoes but we saw people in hiking shoes as well. There are some nice spots to swim and a rope to jump off of. We spent there 4 hours. The gates close at 5 pm which we learned the hard way.Had to go down the last set of stairs and cross the river to the middle then cross back to walk towards the parking lot. It was a great adventure and definitely worth it. We didn’t have a tour guide but if it wasn’t for tour groups we wouldn’t have found the parking lot.

Great place to swim in a natural pool, rope swing in or jump off of rock ledges. Water here is 22ft deep. There’s tons of tour guides you’ll see but you can do it on your own for much cheaper. Great spot if you can get there in between it being flooded with tour groups. My recommendations: Drive to the very end of the road to the fence. Pay the $2 per person, $10 per car fee to park there on private property. This route is an easier hike, especially if you have children. (They also provide a water hose to rinse off the mud). About a 15-20 min muddy hike in. Then it’s 10 more mins if you want to go to the natural waterslides. Rope swinging into the water and jumping from the rock ledges was a lot of fun. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. I brought water shoes too.

Great place to spend the day at swimming. Be advised and pay the 2.00 fee to go up the straight way through the private property. If you go up the free route, it tends to be very muddy and slippery; not a good way to take if you have young kids. But once you get there, the water is immaculate and the swimming is top notch. Highly recommend.
