I used to go to this school when I was younger before moving my to the states with my mom, wanted to reminisce a little and see what become of the school. I’m glad that the grounds are being used for a good reason instead of being abandoned and going to waste like most places in Puerto Rico.

I can't express enough how much Save a Sato has impacted my life. Two years ago, we fell in love with a Sato we found while on vacation, we had no idea what to do. Bringing a dog home was not apart of the plan but it soon consumed our entire trip. The team at Save a Sato was instrumental in connecting us with a local vet who helped us get him the care he needed. We flew him home to Wisconsin and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Today, he's a pampered, beloved member of our family, and his presence has brought unparalleled joy into our lives. The dedication and compassion of Save a Sato didn't stop at just helping us with our new furry friend. Witnessing their tireless efforts in animal welfare sparked a deep passion within me. Their work inspired me to get involved in animal rescue myself, leading me to discover my true calling. I am incredibly grateful for the way they helped me find my soul Sato and set me on a path that feels truly meaningful. The staff at Save a Sato don't just save animals…they change lives, and I hope to one day work more closely with them, contributing to their remarkable mission. Their impact is immeasurable, and I am forever thankful for the role they've played in my life and the life of our cherished Sato. 🇵🇷🐶🤍

I see that people are criticizing this organization, Iam an animal lover and if I could I will rescue all the dogs in our island of puerto Rico, but I can't. I have rescued alot of dogs and have gotten then a permanent home. I found cody in the street, and took her to las piedras the vet there worked with this organization. I was a foster for about Two moths, they asked me if I needed food for her and I said no, I will feed her. The gave cody a check up, and gave me medicine for her, then it was vaccination time, then it was sterilization. They called me 3 weeks later cody was adopted in the United States. I was so happy for cody that she got a home thanks to the Sato Project. They do their best, they can, there are so, so many abandoned dogs in puerto Rico instead of criticized them why don't they criticized the government of Puerto Rico, what are they doing in this situation? NOTHING, THANK YOU. In all the shelters in puerto Rico you going to fine some bad issues. At least this organization is trying to help in some way to stop the population of dog by rescuing them. Sorry but it's my opinion. This is cody with her new family.

We are forever indebted to Save a Sato for coordinating our adoption of Margot this past summer. We had an amazing volunteer, Frank, working with us to organize her transport and he continued to check in with us once she got here to make sure she was settling in nicely.
