The most beautiful beach I have seen in my life. Soft, fine white sand and crystalline turquoise water with a downward-sloped shoreline. Tortugas circular shape creates a calm “bay” where catamarans can anchor, we swam and saw silver fish in the shallows. No seaweed or seagrass in sight. Take a short walk towards the western end of the beach where rocky sections of shore create large tide pools you can swim in while the surf surges through.
To get to Playa Tortuga, we hiked from Culebrita Beach over the island for an adventuresome 10 minutes through rocky, desert-like terrain with signage for unexplored ordinances and highly poisonous trees.
If you can get here, do not miss it.
This was a beautiful beach and we went there via Gammy‘s water taxi. Highly recommend taking the day and coming here. He gives you everything you need and the beach is pristine, and we snorkeled with sea turtles and stingrays in a bounty of colorful fish and if you go out far enough, you see some really healthy coral.
Incredible service and one of the best beaches I have ever seen. 50 dollars for 5 hours on a private island with a paddle-board and snorkel gear is a steal. Swam with turtles, rays, saw an octupus and an eel. The crew with Gammy's water tours are incredible, and the island is even more amazing. Go with Gammy!

a month agoWe spent 10 days in Puerto Rico (not enough) but Culebrita beach is definitely the most beautiful beach of them all.
