Sushi by Bou- Isla Verde PR @ The Fairmont El San Juan Hotel

The sushi was espectacular, each bite was a full blast of flavor and texture. The service was excellent too! The drinks for me left a lot to be desired, but then again, I don’t really care about drinking a lot. We closed our evening with sake shots courtesy of the chefs. It was a fun experience to have and I would recommend it to anyone who loves sushi. My favorite was the bacalaito bite, it lives in my head rent free! I had the 17 course meal with my partner and we left satisfied, some courses you really wanna have over and over again—it’s a good thing that at the end you have the option to order a la carte. It is a tasting menu so the courses are single bites. No dessert was available that particular day, but I would really just go back for the sushi. Fish was fresh, best Omakase in PR so far in my experience. The place is tiny so be ready for a small group/intimate experience and if you’re only 2 or 3 people on the reservation be prepared to share your table with strangers for the service.

Absolutely unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was electric, with stunning artwork that sets the perfect vibe. The sushi? Next-level—easily the best I’ve ever had. Josh and Malek made the night even better with their exceptional service. The handcrafted drinks were on point—creative and delicious. Seating is limited, so definitely make a reservation in advance. This place is totally worth going out of your way for. A must-visit!

Sushi By Bou, located inside the hotel at The Fairmont El San Juan was such a delightful experience! I was able to book via opentable and secured a reservation. They are known for their no frills omakase, just pure delicious fish without anything additional. We opted for the 12 course experience that lasts around an hour and fifteen minutes. The host who checked us in was fabulous and brought us to the waiting room where we ordered cocktails. When our seats were ready, we proceeded to sit at the bar where the sushi chef was. Like I said, the sushi pieces have minimal garnishes and toppings. You truly get to savor each piece depending on the type of fish it is. They offer you sparkling or still water, I assumed still was tap but they charged me $8 for acqua panna (I thought it was complimentary since tap water wasn’t offered). The service overall was awesome and they were always asking if I needed assistance. I’ve been to Sushi by Bou in Manhattan, and the hospitality definitly shows in all of their locations. I had a great time!

The best sushi experience on the island and this is coming from a former sushi chef. The location has very limited seating so book early. The chefs are knowledgeable and entertaining. The fish were fresh and served correctly. Drinks were pretty good. I did feel a bit rushed through the service but not a big deal. Pricing is fair for the quality and experience. Will definitely be coming back!

One of the best dining experiences ever. When we arrived the service was on point, from the host to the personnel, the attention to service and detail is spot on. Chef Pancho and Chef Moon in Puerto Rico really made the experience even better. Sharing details of each piece and making sure we are enjoying the experience really makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. These two chefs made each piece a delicacy and the presentation made these stand out even more.
