I absolutely loved this little roadside bar/restaurant. It was my first stop of the day so just grabbed a couple kiwi mojitos and they were on point! So refreshing without that artificial sugar/sweetener taste. The views are something special and if it’s your first time or 100th, you’ll still appreciate the beauty of this island.
We had a lovely time at El Caney.
The tables are both picnic style and high tables. It is not fancy but the view is beautiful and the restaurant is open air so you enjoy the amazing mountain air.
The food was really good and the service was awesome.
They have a specialty peanut after dinner that was a nice end touch.
We went to this Restaurant after a long trip from the eastern part of the Island, we were going initially to other famous restaurant, but it was extremely busy, so we found El Caney nearby, and we decided to try it. We were so delighted surprise, the parking was easy, the waitress was extremely nice and friendly (her name was Nila), she went out of her way to accommodate our party of 13 people; the view from the balcony was beautiful, and the food was excellent. Although it took a while to get our food (they were busy) the restaurant owner apologized personally, and in compensation, offered us free shots of local pitorro alcohol, so in the end the wait was worthwhile. Normally I don’t review restaurants, but this place deserves a 5 star review, especially due to the people and wonderful environment that offers.
All I can say is just Wow!!!, the drive was definitely worth it so don't get discouraged. The food was great and the views are breathtaking. Puerto Rico at it's finest, also had these peanut butter whiskey shots with the owner of the establishment which were delicious. No complaints definitely make your way up into the mountains and go there for a truly unforgettable experience.
Very nice environment. Food and mojitos were great!! View was amazing, staff were very attentive and friendly. Live music while the customers joined in was entertaining as well. Definitely recommend this place. #tampaflorida
