La Santurcina – Traditional Neapolitan Pizza
If you’re hunting for authentic Neapolitan pizza in Puerto Rico, La Santurcina is the place to be. Just be warned—it’s easy to miss! There’s no big sign outside, just a small decal on the door, but once you find it, you’re in for a treat.
Every pizza here is a perfectly crafted 12-inch pie, baked in a gas-fired stone oven. The Margherita is a standout, with a light, chewy crust, rich tomato sauce, and creamy fior di latte. The flavors are simple, fresh, and absolutely spot on. They stick to the traditional Neapolitan style, and they do it really well.
One surprise highlight? The fried olives. Crispy, salty, and ridiculously good—definitely worth ordering as a starter.
On top of the amazing food, the service is fantastic. The place is small and fills up quickly, but the cozy atmosphere and top-notch hospitality make it worth the wait.
If you love authentic pizza, great service, and a hidden gem vibe, La Santurcina is a must-visit. Just keep an eye out for that tiny decal.
This place is an absolute gem! If you’re craving authentic Neapolitan style pizza, you have to stop by. Their zucchini ricotta pizza was insanely good! Their staff is friendly and the pizza bakers were so passionate creating the meals. Loved the atmosphere.
Best authentic pizza, tastes like you could be in Italy. By far my favorite Pizza in San Juan!! I love their Margarita. My son had the pumpkin, maple one and said it was the best pizza he’s ever had. Also, don’t pass up their salads. The Caesar salad is my favorite I’ve had. They have a season best salad that’s amazing. As well as their Calabaza & Burrata.
We absolutely loved our meals at La Santurcina! We ordered the fried olives, pumpkin and burrata salad, La Santurcina pizza, and the Carbonara pizza - all delicious, with the highlight definitely being the salad and Carbonara pizza. Fantastic atmosphere and stellar service! Perfect date night - we'll definitely be back!
Fer nailed it. He went over the menu in great detail, making sure we got a clear idea of what to expect. Santurcina is easily one of the best pizza spots in Puerto Rico. Their Neapolitan/American-style pizza has a thin, airy, crunchy crust.
The meatballs are exceptional—juicy, flavorful, and paired with their amazing homemade tomato sauce. Must-try pizzas: “La Santurcina” and “La Del Chef” for bold, unique flavors.
If you're into white sauce, go for “La De Setas”— it also has mushrooms balancing the flavor profile perfectly.
Don’t skip dessert—the carrot cake sundae is unreal.
The wait time can get intense, but it's worth the hype. Go early for a more relaxed vibe.
