Outside of the parking, which is a treacherous adventure unto itself, this may be the most beautiful beach I've ever visited. The panoramic view is straight out of a post card, with rocky outcroppings framing a picturesque sandy shoreline. Beautiful water and surprisingly few people on a warm Saturday in June. HIGHLY recommend a stop if your traveling between San Juan & Rincon.
A place out of this world! Secluded, actually not that easy to find as you must trek to get there but, Oh is it worth it! The "golondrinas", or swallows, live in the cave year round, the ocean gets into the cave in waves, it is simply gorgeous. Snorkeling is a dream, plenty of fish in very clear and calm waters. This place is unforgettable!
DO NOT PARK ON THE RIGHT SIDE of the street! It’s a trap, no signs, but cops come by and give you a $150 ticket. 🙃. BEAUTIFUL beach, best spot in town. But… it might cost ya. 😉
Very beautiful, you can enjoy the dark blue water, then take a walk through a tight path to the cave. It could be labeled so you don’t get lost, since there are several ways in and out.
We were not able to visit the cave as Hurricane Erin was near and the ocean was causing to much turbulence. How ever, we enjoyed La Poza del Obispo for a while. The access was easy and the people at the end of the road, that sell “cuchiftitos” told us to make sure to park on the left side of the road as cops give tickets if you park on the right side ( when facing the beach).
