A peaceful, beautiful pool behind a masonry dam across the road from the parking lot (restrooms available). A short flight of stairs takes you to the pool, there are stone benches where one can picnic. There's a bridge on the upstream side where one can get great pictures of the pool and the upstream cascading water.
Beautiful photo opportunity location at a historical recreation pool. A must see while at El Yunque.
This pool was built in 1936 and continues to amaze today.
