Great family kayaking experience. Like many have shared, the bios weren't that bright, but it was still a worthwhile experience. Our guides, led by Chris, were good, and responsive. We chose the latest time slot to maximize the potential bio-brightness, but it would've been cool to see the mangoves during the day too. Wish the larger homes along the ridge overlooking the lagoon would turn off their exterior lights to reduce light pollution. Good overall experience. Many crews share this kayak village. No reason we wouldn't come back to Eco Adventures.
We had an amazing experience !!! Especially our guides occy and Chris!! They were so sweet and friendly and they made the experience super fun and peaceful!!! Highly recommend this place if u wanna go kayaking in Puerto Rico!!
Night time kayaking experience was worthwhile although felt a bit more spooky than anticipated. The guides did a great job throughout. The glow was very minimal where we had to use a tarp to see even hints of it. That was a little disappointing
Very nice trip with good guides who provided just enough information and not too much. Unfortunately the water did not illuminate, but that's nature. It was still fun to kayak through the mangroves at sunset though coming back was a bit interesting in the dark but they do provide lights on the kayaks and it would be difficult to get lost. The groups are about 12-15. You will get a little wet so dress accordingly. Also note this is far from Puerto Rico's best and most beautiful water it is quite murky, I wouldn't plan on swimming in it. I still enjoyed the unique experience and would definitely return, hoping the little microbes will shine next time.
A work group of 10 of us booked this experience on May 19th for the 8:30pm outing. The knowledgeable guides made it an awesome experience. This is a great activity for those brand new to kayaking and those with prior experience. We had prime conditions and the bioluminescence was incredible. Each time you put the paddle in the water once we reached the edge of the mangroves before the lagoon you could see it. While in the lagoon even when the fish moved they appeared to glow. Truly wow. We all had the best time and would recommend it. Would recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting wet as the water splashed into the kayak a bit - wear flip flops or water shoes as you will walk in the water a bit to get into the kayaks. Bathrooms are onsite before departing and foot wash stations for after.
