The former Hotel Clarion and Darlington, today, it is a multi-use building which includes permanent residents and short-term rentals by various owners. This is one of the tallest buildings in San Juan! It in a very good neighborhood and about a 10-minute walk to Centro de Convenciones/El Distrito). This building is 28 stories tall; the last floor is a large protruding rectangular roof that resembles an air traffic control tower; this used to be the Windows to the Caribbean restaurant. The view from the top are breathtaking which include ocean views, city views, and mountain views! Its proximity to all points of interest in San Juan: El Distrito, Centro de Convenciones, Old San Juan, Condado, and Santurce make this building an ideal location to stay while you visit Puerto Rico's capital.
There are many rentals for long-term and short-term stays in this building. They are not all created equal! You will find beautiful, modern and updated apartments as well as others not so updated.
At the very top habitable floor, try the San Juan Sunrise apartments for killer views in a contemporary setting!
The service is horrible...first day when I came they never told me they will clean so I paid money and got apartment cleaned. Then after asking few times they agreed cleaning is included. After that they kept giving me appointments for cleaning but nobody turned up and that time. Spoiling my entire schedule and plans for the day. Some guy Joel in their office kept committing.. But didn't even bother to check the cleaning lady reached on time or not. Guess will have to pay and get it cleaned avain.. Most of their staff don't understand English too well so that's a huge problem. Never stay there!!!
Im currently staying here and when we first came in it looked very clean. Im sleeping on the futon in the kitchen and i see a german roach crawling all on the cabinets. Also elevators are a little rough, the doors close very fast and you have to make a step to get onto the elevator.
Do not book anything with this fraudulent people.
