Easy to get to, very well kept up. It has eight (6) parking spots + handicap one (1) with ramp/access. While there's no furniture (for sitting or eating), there IS ample space to walk around and 4 covered areas with electrical outlets on the main viewing platform. On the lower platform there's a ledge adequate for sitting and eating (if you so choose).
Beautiful view but no chairs or tables to sit down. We went at night so although it was somewhat peaceful, it does seem like a local hangout. Maybe for teens/young people and there was a good bit of smoking and drinking going on. We did see some stray dogs there. I think it’s a cool place to check out, but I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it if you didn’t/dont get to see it. I assume when it’s busier parking fills up fast because there weren’t many spots available and we went at night on a Thursday
At the Mirador Gavillan you can enjoy one of the most impressive and beautiful views of all metropolitan area of Puerto Rico. With an altitude of about 670 feet over sea level, You can see about 5 cities at the same time.
(March 2024) Nice spot to stop after visiting any of the chinchorros in the area. There's enough parking spaces if it's not too busy. The place could use more benches to sit. The view is great!
