My family and I had a blast!! Although my Dad is native to Vieques, the instructor gave us some history about the island we hadn't previously known. They were prompt and made sure we were having fun throughout the ride. I will be using them in the future and I highly recommend💙
Unforgettable Ride with Vieques Offroad Buggy Adventures!
If you’re visiting Vieques and looking for something exciting beyond the beaches – look no further than Vieques Offroad Buggy Adventures! This tour was hands-down one of the best parts of our trip.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and safe. After a quick orientation and safety rundown, we hopped into our buggies and hit the trails — and wow, what an adventure!
Highlights:
• Incredible Terrain: We tore through jungle paths, rocky hills, mud puddles, and even stopped at some hidden gems you’d never find on your own.
• Scenic Stops: Our guide led us to secluded beaches and amazing viewpoints. One stop included a breathtaking overlook where we could see the turquoise water stretch for miles.
• Top-Notch Guides: Friendly, funny, and knowledgeable — they shared cool facts about the island’s history, flora, and wildlife, all while keeping the ride fun and safe.
• Well-Maintained Buggies: The vehicles were in great shape, powerful, and clearly taken care of — which made the ride both smooth and thrilling.
Pro Tips:
• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty (or muddy, depending on the weather).
• Sunglasses and a face covering are a must.
This was such a unique way to explore the wild side of Vieques, far off the beaten path. Perfect for couples, families, or adventurous groups. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Thank you Vieques Offroad Buggy Adventures — 5 stars all the way!
The Vieques Buggy Adventure experience was phenomenal!
Richard was the GOAT - so kind, safety-conscious and accommodating throughout our time zipping around the mountain on his souped-up dune buggies.
Following his lead, we raced through pastures where wild horses grazed, chickens pecked and iguanas slithered across the landscape. We came around the corner and no kidding, two horses were going at it - mating right up the hill. We were sorry to disturb them and they didn’t stop on account of our presence.
We proceeded up trails, which terraced up to hills that were impressively high. Spitting dirt and shooting rooster tails as we took turns like we were on rails. At each hilltop, Richard would circle us up and cut the engines, long enough to share some history about Vieques and the land. We learned all about the local culture, as well as the military’s former presence on the island - the Navy used it for target practice for years, which is a terrible shame because Vieques is such a beautiful island and we found the people to be incredibly genuine and hospitable.
Back to the Buggy Adventures, at the top of the mountain we switched drivers and continued to fly around the landscape, laughing and carrying on, having the time of our lives on such a beautiful day.
Vieques Buggy Adventures has our enthusiastic endorsement, you should do it! The experience was a blast and very affordable, for an hour of ATVing, taking in tremendous views of Vieques.

Did this with my husband, son and granddaughter the end of May. It was the most amazing adventure! Pedro was very friendly on the phone even more in person he was also very knowledgeable on the history of the island "I wish I would've recorded it" while he was talking it was so interesting. He made sure everyone was Comfortable before heading up the mountain. The ride was awesome and the view was breathtaking.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vieques. We will definitely do again next time we visit.
Thanks Pedro 👍
What a great experience and an awesome way to see the beautiful views of. Inquest from the mountains! Pedro & Richard are awesome guides- they have you drive around on the low terrain first to get used to the buggy before driving up the mountain side. They stop at certain viewpoints to take pictures, enjoy the views and tell you a little history of the island. We can’t wait to do it again next time!
