I went to get a beard trimming and refining and left out with 5 cuts, my beard horribly mis aligned and a huge gap between around my mouth and mustache and beard.
I wasted $26 and had to come home and shave my hole face.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT AN EXCUSE TO SHAVE YOUR HOLE FACE AND/OR YOU WANT TO BECOME SCARFACE.
Under new administration... and that's where they're taking them: under! Starting July 1st, all haircuts start at $30, and these as just run-of-the-mill standard haircuts; nothing fancy. Got charged $35 for mine and when asked why the extra $5, the hostess just answered it was because of the style... "Style"? I was accompanied by my wife and either of us are yet to see the "style" that costed me an extra $5 plus tax over the full price including the $5. [Management failed to see that they might be raising revenue NOW by rising prices 40% ($10 out of $25 for the new price of $35, and this price hike was not announced anywhere: not in a sign at the entrance not before the haircut started), but at this rate, they won't have repeat customers and will eventually end up failing.] When the barber initially "finished", he had barely cut my hair on top. The haircut lasted between 15-20min. When I expressed that I felt that I had a bulge on the top of my head, the other barber, skinny, tall, and in a vest, and the hostess/sweeping lady started laughing at me. This made me feel very uncomfortable since I mostly don't go out because of these "people" and I feel uncomfortable in public scenarios. They sent me running back to my house and not wanting to leave home ever again. The barber who tended to me I feel picked up on this and tried to make it better (kudos to him!), but it is sad that these other two create an unwelcomed environment for people that might have social anxiety and are not comfortable in social scenarios. Whatever strength and bravery I had mustered up to go out into public and expose myself to a stylish environment was just killed by them. In conclusion, the mix of horrible customer service and spiking prices goes to show you that "Hairland" (the original business here for many decades before this one) is truly dead. I really liked having a place to go get a haircut whenever I wanted, whether it was at night, on a Sunday or a Monday, but unfortunately this review will end up a nothing. Two options: either they ignore it or reply with a snappy comeback to turn the tables on a loyal customer that was consistent for the past 20 years. Blessings and good luck to y'all! I won't be privy of your fate for I will not be frequenting this place any more. It is 2025 and people should not make fun of anyone, even less employees making fun of clients. F-
Great price for men’s haircuts of all types, convenient location and cleanliness is maintained. I strongly advise prospective customers to make an appt. beforehand to avoid long wait times like I experienced (15 mins) and to choose the appropriate barber. The one I had with on my first visit extremely slow, inattentive, and was way too talkative. Nevertheless, I’ll plan to return in the near future on an appt. and choose a different barber there.
