Beautiful white sand beach with clear, warm water. There are pavilions and natural shade from the bushes, making it comfortable to relax. It’s an easy, short walk to get there, and it wasn’t overly crowded. Easily my favorite beach on the island—highly recommend!
This one has it all! White sand, turquoise water, a small cliff, some rocks, plenty of space to spread out. It’s paradise. Tip: arrive before 10 am and enjoy 🏝️
The cleanest and most beautiful beach that we visited in Vieques. The sand was the softest and water the warmest. Plenty of parking. Only downside was that there was not much shade. If there were some trees or areas for shade, this would’ve been the perfect beach!

We just visited on 6/21/25. Getting there was not the most fabulous experience. We took the ferry from Ceiba. It’s very cheap. For two seniors it’s $4.00. If you bring beach chairs , coolers etc it’s extra for each item. I thought the ferry would be like here in NY. Where you could see outside and walk on the deck. But you’re enclosed and can’t see a thing. With that said we called a taxi service and paid $60 round trip. Horses roam freely , even on the beach property and their poop is everywhere. The beach was covered in sea grass. I didn’t go in the water but my husband did. He said once you get beyond the grassy area in the water, it’s clear. If you arrive early you can get a covered area with table and chairs. Not sure that I would visit this beach again. I’ll try a different one.
Beautiful Beach, My families first time visiting Vieques. We decided to make it a day trip, took an early ferry. I recommended negotiating with the taxi drivers right off the ferry for the best price. We had 7 people so I thought we would be limited in options but there were plenty of taxis with large vans. We worked a deal for drop off and pick up, definitely get a phone number for your driver. Ride was about 15 minutes from the ferry terminal. The beach was flawless, not over crowded. Sand was clean and water was clear. Keep in mind there are no facilities at this beach, that includes bathrooms, food, rentals. We brought everything we needed.
If you are unsure of which south side beach to visit definitely keep Caracas on the list.
