Beautiful beach with amazing sands that feel nice on the feet (be careful it’s hot). Rocks to hike and water to snorkel. The waves are huge in one part and the water is blue and clear. On the rocks there are some amazing viewpoints.

Nice place Good spot to be with family or friends Beautiful sunset The parking it’s at street and you need to walk a bit much 😆 When I return to my car I find a $150 police ticket in my windshield because “I parked in a green area” 🤷🏻‍♀️ So be careful with the parking area! Update: I call the police station and they told me I cannot be parked in the right area because then other people cannot turn around to leave… so they give a ticket because of that! 😔

This place is so beautiful! It feels like you're going into a remote area and you just park wherever you can find a space on the narrow road that leads to the beach. Sometimes that can be quite the hike depending on where you find parking. There is no money that you have to pay to park! If anyone ask keep moving. Please can get a little busy and it's safe. We couldn't go on the beach like we had hoped because the waters were very strong. I think it was right after storm and the wind was so bad that the grains of sand were just flying everywhere and it was painful. This explains why most of the folks were just in the water cuz it was calmer to be there. We decided to follow a social media guide and found our way behind the ruined homes from previous storms and you could tell where some folks have created some kind of path. It was really difficult to find the cavern and along the way somewhere in the middle of nowhere as it felt there was a sign kind of letting us know we were on the right track. But we were only on the right track. After few failed attempts and a heat beating down. We are adventurous people and we weren't going to quit until we found it. I'm so glad we did. It was super refreshing and calm and almost like a hidden gem. There were maybe five people on that side and we were two. You still have to be careful because when the strong ocean pushes water into the cavern it can really move you around and it is very rocky underneath so go in carefully.

Road is a narrow one lane road, parking does not exist, park along road, will be a long walk, be kind pull to the side if you can if another car leaving approaches. Beach is big, sand, left/west side has calm waters to swim, surf was rough outside swim area, not a good spot to snorkel but fun spot to hang at the beach and swim, water seems to to about 5 ft deep. If you go, go early to snag a spot. I went on a wednesday and it was busy. I wouldn’t even try on weekend, go to Pina Blanca Beach instead where there is parking or to Crash Boat.

Peaceful coastal gem with local charm! Tierras Nuevas Poniente is a beautiful, quiet area on Puerto Rico's north coast that's perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. The beaches nearby are calm and not overcrowded — ideal for a peaceful walk or a laid-back day by the water. The local community is friendly, and it has that authentic Puerto Rican small-town vibe. There's not a lot of tourist traffic here, which makes it a great spot if you want to unwind away from the hustle. Make sure to bring your camera — the sunsets are stunning!
