Excellent beach for Snorkeling! Limited room for lounging. Gets deep pretty quickly and many rocks. Not ideal for young children, barbecues or laying about. If you want to see the sea life, then come here.
No free parking and don't be tempted to park on road, tickets on every car on our return. Private parking available at $5. Just pay it.
I was lucky to see plenty of sea life including a turtle. A good few sea urchins so be aware of putting your hands in unsuspecting holes!
Personally I thought it was worth the $5 to park. Get some good Snorkeling in and then move on for lunch.
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s a hidden gem with stunning views, crystal clear water, and a rugged natural vibe that makes it feel like your own private paradise. The waves were calm during my visit, and the water was perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
The beach itself is tucked away and not overly crowded, which makes it ideal if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. The rock formations around the area give it a unique look, and the contrast between the turquoise water and white sand is picture perfect.
There’s not much in terms of facilities no bathrooms or food vendors so I recommend bringing everything you need for the day (snacks, water, sunscreen, etc.). But if you’re prepared, you’re in for a peaceful escape with one of the most scenic beach settings in Puerto Rico.
Whether you’re looking to relax, explore the coastline, or take some amazing photos, Peña Blanca is definitely worth the stop.
My favorite of all the beaches I've visited. It's semi private. Groovy rock formations and lots of fish you can see with a snorkel without going out too far. We even saw two sea turtles!!! The kids had a great time. There were trees that offered shade. Our family (about 15 of us) had the BEST time!! We absolutely loved it!
Such a nice little spot but it gets busy so get there early around 8am to 9am to secure a good spot on the beach as there's not much room at this place.
You will need to wear water shoes or sneakers to get around. The terrain is hilly and rocky. I don't recommend flip-flops until you're settled in a spot on the beach.
Unfortunately! It does not look how it once did, due to some sort of rock slide / earth movement the left side of the beach is more or less a part of the ocean. Still the small clearing on the right side. Beautiful views - romantic and secluded. ATV path behind also for the outdoorsy.
