This was probably the most beautiful beach on Culebra. It was a 30-40 minute walk. The walk is easy down and difficult up. Looks like you could drive down in a jeep but no parking. Not sure if you are alowed to drive down, didn't see any signs saying you couldn't. I would not recommend swimming. We had the entire beach to ourselves.
Gorgeous, secluded beach if you can look past all the Atlantic trash and ridiculous amounts of seaweed washed up along the beach.
Once you get to the "parking area" at the end of the unmaintained road, it's a hike on foot for 25 to 30 minutes one way. Unfortunately the hike out is worse than the hike in, but we found the beach to be worth it. Wear decent walking shoes or sandals with straps and don't go if you aren't willing to get a little exercise.
It's been noted several places that this isn't a good beach for swimming and can be dangerous. That's going to be a personal decision based on your ability and the surf conditions. The surf wasn't too crazy on the day I visited and I'm a very strong ocean swimmer, so I did some swimming in the surf here, but I always remained very vigilant for rip currents and stayed in close enough that I could always touch. Swim at your own risk.
The beach is beautiful. The hike in is about 1 mile from the road. Definitely want to make sure you have a pair of hike boots or shoes. Found plenty of reptiles and crabs along the way. Watch where you step as you can find many small ant colonies that will bite.
This is a really beautiful beach, you have to walk 30 minutes to see this beautiful beach, crystal Walters, very clean, you can spend all day right there and relax
Awesome beach! You have to walk around 25 min to from parking spot to the beach. Totally worthy! We have the beach for ourselves.
Waves are stronger than other beaches in Culebra but perfect to swim!
Love it !
