This is my number one beach in PR in general! Puerto Rico has many beaches that all carry their own beauty but from the first time I’ve came here I fell in love with this beach and now this is my third time visiting. There’s always space available and getting there early now is crucial because now the little green forest has a river canal that brings in the brown water during the early afternoon but in the morning the water is crystal clear. They also have a food stand that also has restrooms if need be. Please if you visit this beautiful peaceful beach bring an extra garbage bag to take your trash out when you’re done, the garbage is located by the food stand by the smoking section. Parking outside is either paid or if you get there early you can find a spot outside of the parking lot like I did.
NOTE: The location that Google Maps has for this beach is only accessible by boat! Somebody bought a big patch of land in the middle of the Guaniquilla wildlife sanctuary so that no one can access the beach on foot :( There are other small, rocky beaches along the path to this beach that are lovely, secluded places to lie down and dip your feet in the water (not deep enough for swimming). But if you're looking for the beach that's described in the other reviews, go to "Buyé Beach" in town.
Not quite as expected. Parking was packed on a random Tuesday; beach space is limited, and water full of algae the day. Locals seem to love it but we sadly did not enjoy.
