The beaches here are lovely as is the Snorkeling.
We sailed over from the and their were only to mooring balls here, one had a broken leader we finally landed one on Malone's.
The Fan Coral is amazing here it is purple & black and grey with purple the coral is in good shape on this side of the are.
Over behind THE PROTECTOR of the large Stickman at the entrance of the Harbor you can gain access to other the beach & water (here it has alot of.... Washed up coral.
Further you will find a small bay with a village of campers/ tent City... The bay here is deep and protected there were four mooring balls for daily use.
Lastly we drove out to Electric Beach which is near the power lines one road is private, the other a bit intimidating on a golf cart... This beach was all coral and rock. The water was pretty rough at this point and I am sure the beaches closer to town would be a much better experience personally.
Not good snorkeling and no real beach. Not a bad place to post up on the rocks if you just want to chill, they have some wooden tables. Walk over to Melones for good snorkeling (far right).
Beautiful view. Not much sand, just enough to set up chairs. The snorkeling beach is to the right past the peninsula...Melones Beach. Melones is rocky with lots of broken coral. Not sandy. But if want to snorkel, start from Melones.
Very accessible beach 5 min ride from the ferry. Walk (1min) on Punta Melones (you can see this from the ferry dock) to the other side of the pennisula I think this is Playa Melones. For awesome snorkeling head right to the exposed rocks. This was our last morning in Culebra and we needed a quick snorkel before dropping the car off. We were not disappointed neither will you .
