Love this nice natural water pool! It’s not to popular so most of the time you would have this to yourself or a handful of locals. You can see small tropical fish swimming along side you in the water. Kids will love it. It’s amazing. The parking situation is a bit rough, I wouldn’t drive in the sand if you don’t have a four wheel drive vehicle, you will get stuck with a car . Beside that a hidden gem of the island.
Found this little hidden gem yesterday and my family loved it! Perfect for children due to the the rocks breaking the waves and making a area that is calm. Great snorkeling opportunity and perfect for floatation devices. Secluded area not really crowded: Had so much fun will definitely be returning!
Definitely a hidden gem on the coast of Isabela! But one you must come prepared for! There is no paved parking lot, so you will be driving and parking over sand (it's fairly compacted, so most if not all cars should be fine). Make sure you have shoes because there is absolutely no shade and the sand gets brutally hot. I would also highly suggest you have something to sit on the sand with and something you can sit under. Sunscreen is a must. We weren't there for longer than 1.5 hours (swimming the majority of the time) and my thighs were burned pretty good.
I wouldn't consider the ocean itself safe to swim in, but the pozo is protected by rocks and is very calm and cool as cold water pushes into it frequently. The water is very clear and great for snorkeling (lots of tiny fish!). It has varying degrees of depth, but nothing too deep. I have gone on the weekends, and it is never truly crowded. I visit this beach every single time I visit PR. I also suggest visiting on the weekends as there is a kind gentleman down the street that sells fresh, chilled coconuts with eco-friendly turtle saving straws called "Coco Truck PR" that is perfect for such a hot day!
This place is a hidden gem, and hands down one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico. Secluded, no crowds, but the beach is absolutely gorgeous and the water is amazingly clear. There’s a natural rock cove which creates a sheltered area that’s great for swimming and snorkeling. No facilities, and you have to park on the side of the road and walk through some brush to get there, so come prepared.
Very nice protected beach with sand dunes. The rocks make a little pool which is great for kids and families. Be careful with the under current as it is still strong inside the “pool”
