Great beach and easily within a half hour walk of Esperanza! Very convenient if you don't have a car. Lots of palm trees and some shade. The water was nice and didn't have too much seaweed floating although there was some. Not much visibility for snorkelling but you could enjoy a swim here.
Easily one of my top beaches visited while in Vieques - Sun Bay Beach is picturesque, with extremely tranquil waters - idyllic for swimmers and non swimmers alike.
The beach has an expansive sandy shoreline, which could have you taking a stroll along the beach for 30 minutes + in either direction.
I thoroughly enjoyed swimming and sunbathing here, along the pristine turquoise waters. Watching little fish swimming by right at my feet was so relaxing and refreshing to see.
Our hotel luckily provided us with beach chairs and a cooler, which came in very handy, as there wasn’t an option to rent beach chairs or an umbrella. So, please do keep this in mind when visiting this gorgeous beach 🏝️!!!
Serene and peaceful escape, with clean, clear water and stunning natural surroundings. Wild horses roaming freely add to its charm, and the beach is spacious and uncrowded. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the nearest town, and you can enjoy a scenic stroll along the shore. A perfect spot to escape and relax.
We went during a low season. Enjoyed the low crowds. Such wonderful weather in February. Loved the beach. Clean and not too cold. So clear too! Lots of wild life such as parrots and iguanas!
This beach is gorgeous. When we got to Vieques we wanted to go to Caracas Beach but they don’t open till 7am. This one was open at 6am time we got to Vieques. We were told it is the only beach in that area that has restroom and shower facilities. If you go early morning the beach is to yourself. It is clean, beautiful color water, palms trees that provide shade. There are areas with rocks where you can see crabs. Simply amazing!
