Definitely less than 1 star. I had a terrible experience with this place. The check-in time was Friday at 3 PM, and I arrived in Puerto Rico at 4 PM. I was outside the apartment by 4:15 PM, trying to contact the host for check-in information. Despite reaching out hours before my arrival, they didn't respond to my texts or emails. I contacted Booking.com, but they were no help either, constantly putting me on hold and hanging up. They said the host wasn't getting back to them, and when the host finally did around 8 PM, they claimed my credit card was invalid.
I had booked a package that included flights and the apartment, using the same credit card for everything. I updated the credit card information, using a different card just in case, but they still couldn't see the updated card on their end. I sent proof showing the last four digits of the new card, but received no response. I was left waiting on the street until they canceled my booking at 9:30 PM.
To make matters worse, the doorman told me I couldn't wait in front of the building, so we had to move to the main street. We waited from 4:15 PM to 9:30 PM for them to cancel. This was extremely unprofessional and ruined our trip, taking away an entire day. We had to find another place last minute and pay almost double the amount because it wasn't part of a package deal. I'll never go back to this place or use Booking.com again, as their customer service was completely unhelpful and didn't assist in finding alternatives.
I am writing this review after a week staying in the west building.
Why am I writing this at 3AM? Because in those 5 days I’ve gotten around 10 hours of sleep thanks to the nonstop noise and music coming from the surrounding establishments throughout the night
While this is not the buildings fault directly, if you cannot sleep can you really enjoy your time here?
It seemingly ends close to 5 in the morning and the local police don’t seem to care much
There is a comical level of physical security around the building that is NOT easily accessible to expecting mothers and families with infants. Many doors are barred in favor of turnstiles that you cannot get a stroller through and the apartments are extremely shabby
If you intend to relax, I beg you to save your money and avoid this place. This was one of the biggest wastes of money but it taught me to never trust isle verde as a vacation spot.
My family and i spent a week there. We had a wonderful stay, especially with it right by the beach and some good food right nearby. The rooms were beautiful and very, very clean. Definitely recommend getting the ocean side if you can because people are pretty loud at night driving their loud, souped up vehicles with the music blasting. Wifi was kinda spotty and I had to crawl under the bed to reset the router but otherwise it was great. I would definitely stay there again.
