This was one of the best meals I've had in years. Everything was exceptional.
We started off with a passion fruit martini and passion fruit daiquiri. Wow we're they yummy. I could drink these all day everyday. Dangerously delicious.
We started off with the fish tacos for an appetizer. They were super fresh, still hot. The fish was moist and delicious inside and had a seriously crunchy outside. There was a nice spicy mayo, and a mango pico. I've only had better fish tacos once in my life.
My wife has mamposteao relleno (pollo) and it was out of this world. The depth of flavor was classic, and how I want all my island rice to taste. The portion size was generous and well.
I had the dorado tropical. The fish was light, flakey, and buttery. It was topped with that sweet tangy mango pico which contrasted the meunlere sauce which had hints of lemony citrus and browned butter. Perfection! My sweet plantains were again some of the best I've ever had. They were soft, crunchy, sweet, and had a fresh fruity flavor.
At this point I was full, but not finished. Dessert was a beautiful creme brulee. The custard was so soft that it melted in my mouth. It had a creamy rich traditional flavor with a caramelized echo of coconut. If there weren't so many people around I would have licked the bowl.
Our server Cristina (I hope I spelled that correctly) was fantastic as well. She was prompt and attentive. We never had an empty glass, and she cleared the plates as fast as I could eat the food off of them.
I can't wait to go back, and I will be back! Desecheo is a MUST for anyone who loves food and happiness!
Food was just okay. Had the Kan Kan and it was super dry.
Anything that was fried tastes off. 8 believe the cooking oil was just too hot. Everything was overcooked.
My son had the Bacalao and he did not like it.
My visit to Desecheo Restaurant was nothing short of amazing. The food was incredibly good every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve.
The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. They created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the dining experience even better.
If you’re looking for a spot with delicious food and great service, Desecheo Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
Randomly found this place because we wanted a nice hearty lunch and it didn't disappoint. Best mofongo I've ever had. The creole sauce is to die for, wow!!! Cleared our plates for sure!
Great place to eat. Their specialties are mofongos. We were a group of 11. Samir was our host and did an awesome job. The food was delicious: mofongo, fish bites, chicken breast, pumpkin soup, fried chicken bites and empanadillas. The drinks were good: Mango and passion fruit mojitos, lemonade and piña colada. Desserts were also good. A bit pricey in my opinion. I would definitely return.
