Food was delicious. However $14 for the Camarones de ajillo for 4 shrimps was a slap in the face (so took off a star) they were not jumbo shrimps. Ordered tostones to dip in in the sauce because it was delicious but still doesn't make up for 4 shrimps. We've never experienced that not even in more expensive restaurants.
On a Saturday night make your way inside. The different types of Music playing in the street is overwhelming. Our server was attentive despite being the only ones sitting upstairs.
Love it love it love it!!!! First restaurant in PR where the food is not so salty. Very nice service. Delicious food cooked to perfection 👌 tasty mohitos. If you are in La Placita, definitely stop by!!!
We ordered lamb chops and chickenery polo and requested the chops to be well-done. Unfortunately, the chops arrived overcooked and burnt, with a very bitter taste. We asked the waiter to replace them. After waiting for 15 minutes, she asked if we wanted the same dish or a different one, which we found confusing as we expected the plate with new chops. We confirmed the same dish. Another 15 minutes later, another waiter informed us that they had run out of mashed potatoes. It was only 7:00 PM, so running out of food seemed early. Additionally, mashed potatoes were a side dish, and they could have substituted another side with the lamb chops. Finally, we canceled the order due to the excessive wait time. The chickenery polo was also disappointing; it was not fresh and seemed over-fried. But it was passable. I would advise against trusting the lots positive reviews for this place.
“Reina” and all of the staff treated us to top-tier service and amazing puerto-rican food. You can’t beat their prices either! If you are visiting PR and want a taste of real Puerto Rican food, make sure you stop by!! I went again the next day lol
