La Fonda Gourmet is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Puerto Rico. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’re visiting family - the vibe is cozy and full of authentic Puerto Rican warmth.
The food is incredible. Every dish tastes fresh and homemade but with a gourmet twist that really makes it stand out. The mofongo is a must - perfectly seasoned and just delicious. I also tried the seafood and it was honestly some of the best I’ve had on the island.
The service is wonderful too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and really makes sure you have a great experience. They’re always happy to share recommendations and it’s clear they really care about what they do.
Whether you’re local or just visiting, make sure you don’t miss this place. It’s perfect for date night, family dinner, or just treating yourself to a great meal. Can’t wait to go back!
This place was phenomenal! The drinks are amazing, the best variety and flavor I’ve ever had, and they came out so fast even if it was close to their closing time. Our waiter, Hector, was extremely attentive and so friendly with us! It felt like shared excitement, from photos to receiving our food. You pay for excellent quality, large and filling quantities, and the most welcoming service given! The shrimp tacos were filled to the rim, overflowing with shrimp. The spicy crab mofongo was excellent, flavorful, and so much food it could’ve fed all four of us. The cheese balls were a fantastic appetizer, with the sweet tamarindo? I believe? Sauce along with it to counter with its saltiness. All drinks were amazing! Very strong though, so you might want to go one by one. Overall everything was fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend eating here!
Saw so many good reviews of this place, decided that my friend and I should go see for ourselves- And we are SO HAPPY that we did. Our server, Hector, was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was as delicious as it looked! Highly recommend if you're in the area
La Fonda Gourmet was recommended by our AirBnB host and is a gem of a restaurant. Jose provided the best service and gave many tips on must see sights in the area, as tourists in PR my husband and I greatly appreciated the guidance.
The food was absolutely delicious, accompanied by a friendly atmosphere. Pictured is ceviche and spicy crab trifongo. Not pictured-mojitos and jibarrito.
Muchas gracias para todos!
After adventuring we stopped by the area to eat and hit the beach, and we found this paradise. It’s family owned with lots of history and love. Our server, Jose, was super helpful describing dishes and drinks to help us choose! The whole experience was amazing especially when one of the sons came to explain family pictures that are posted and as well gave us tips on how to enjoy our time in PR! We will definitely be back our next vacation! Must try!!
