Very cool spot to visit if you can! But let it be known if you have any issues with walking, it might be tricky. Very steep staircase to go down to the falls, very slippery rocks once you’re there. (A women fell as soon as I got there, hit her head and needed an ambulance) :( ..very hard helping her get back up the stairs for help.
Outside of that, great spot to visit. Large waterfall has a big swimming area, ropes to climb rock and go up under the waterfall or jump. Friendly crowds, I went during the off season (July) so wasn’t to to crowded. Can also walk down creek but again, slippery.
There is a smaller waterfall if you take the path to the right as well.
A place to eat off the parking lot and public restrooms.
Highly recommend showing up right at 9 when they open. We went on a Friday and it wasn’t busy at all when we got there! It’s $5 per person to get in to the falls. We literally had the private waterfall to ourselves which was amazing & it’s less than 10 mins walking from the parking lot. We swam for a bit although the water is a little murky and it’s pretty rocky so not super pleasant to swim for long periods of time. Definitely recommend some kind of water shoe for both short hikes. we then crossed the river over to the public falls which honestly were MUCH better for swimming but harder to get to on foot. There’s quite a bit of walking in water & mud so again water shoes are a must. Overall super fun and easy to spend a few hours swimming!
It was a great location. However, I did not go camping. Originally I went there just for Gozalandia, but ended up walking around and seeing the other locations through the forest. I was a beautiful walk, but it won't reach 5 stars because the actual parking location for the camp site and the location in general does not look very well kept. Looks rather old and outdated. Nonetheless it was great. ($5 per person since we just spent the day)

4 months agoBeautiful! It is a bit of stairs but the waterfall was amazing. Be careful of flash floods, good thing they have amazing Pina Colada to keep you busy.
