Great experience with them and quick process to pick up your reserved vehicle. Nice staff but we did have a little bit of trouble with the language barrier. The vehicles we could choose from were comfy and clean except a carpet stain on one. A few dents on some of the cars and but when you see how they drive in PR, you’ll know why. The customer service over the phone was great when I made my reservation. I would certainly rent here again everything was straight forward. I do wish they talked more about the tolls at some point during the process.
I recently went to Puerto Rico in March and let me just say, this Alamo rent a car was the best. It took me not even 10 minutes to check in and get my car. The car was clean, brand new, and I also had a wide variety to choose from. Bringing the car back was also quick and easy. I chose to pay extra for Alamo because it’s part of the airport and I always trust them! No hassle ever.
I was very pleased with our experience in July with Alamo in San Juan, PR. Other than about a 20 minute wait in line to get our car. Everything went smoothly. The gentleman at the counter was polite. Acquiring and returning the car went smoothly. We had a Kia Soul which accommodated 4 peoples luggage and was great for tight parking spaces. We did prepay for insurance and gas as we didn't want any hassles while vacationing in PR. No regrets using Alamo.
Anytime I need a rental, I always stick with Alamo. I did the same when booking in San Juan. I went in early July, which I’m sure is one of their peak times, but still managed to get a booking. There weren’t many options left, and I didn’t want to wait any longer, so I grabbed a Toyota. The next day, Alamo followed up with a thank you text and let me know I could reply if I needed anything, something I really appreciated. I ended up having an issue with the vehicle and got an apology text and a pass by Alamo.
Ms. Cardona was outstanding! She immediately understood the issue and had me in a new vehicle with fresh paperwork, both printed and emailed in under 20 minutes. She valued my time, treated me with genuine care, and never once made me feel like an inconvenience. Ms. Cardona was polite, professional, and all smiles, she even apologized for something that wasn’t her fault. She assured me I could reach out directly if anything else came up. Service like hers is exactly why I stay loyal to Alamo

We chose a Toyota Corolla (it was new but so low to ground). Better choose a higher car as lots of high bumps in PR. Before leaving the garage the lady had cameras go around the car to check condition. I also made videos and took picture both inside and outside of car before driving. Drop off was easy. Guy turned it on and checked inside the car and that was it. I also took videos and pictures at drop off in case they try to say car was messed up after we had left. Its been 3 wks and no other issues. Just got an email about the toll and toll charge. They did inform us that there is $5/day admin charge when their toll box included in the car is used plus the actual toll fee.
