We had a great experience with Dollar Car Rental in Puerto Rico! The pickup and return process was smooth and fast. The car was clean, reliable, and perfect for getting around the island. We ended up needing to return the car a bit earlier than expected, and they adjusted the price accordingly without any issues. Great customer service and super convenient location. I’d definitely rent from them again!
Our car rental experience was amazing! Ivan, who helped us, was incredibly attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. We rented the car for 4 days, and the total cost was $366, which included the daily toll pass, a $10 young driver fee per day, and $36 per day for car insurance. What really stood out was that we didn’t have to leave a deposit, making the process even more convenient. The car we received was very clean and had only a few thousand miles on it, which made it feel almost brand new. The shuttle to and from the airport was very fast, and the driver was very helpful. Ivan also gave us a book with some great places to visit, which made our trip even better. The whole team was friendly and helpful, and the service was top-notch. Overall, it was a very nice and great experience. I highly recommend this rental service for an effortless and enjoyable trip!
I have rented cars from many companies before, but this was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The employees were completely unprofessional and downright rude from the moment we entered the shuttle from the airport. There was no courtesy, no willingness to help, and their attitudes made it feel like I was inconveniencing them by simply showing up to pick up a car I had already reserved.
To make matters worse, the manager was just as bad as the staff she supervises. Instead of stepping in to fix the situation or at least demonstrate some level of professionalism, she was dismissive, condescending, and set the tone for the entire office. It’s clear that poor customer service is tolerated if not encouraged at this location.
The entire experience was stressful, frustrating, and absolutely unacceptable. Renting a car should be straightforward, not a battle with employees who treat paying customers with such disregard. I will never rent from this company again, and I strongly advise anyone considering it to take their business elsewhere. There are plenty of other rental companies that understand the basics of professionalism, respect, and customer care.
I had a great experience with Dollar Car Rental. The staff was fair, kind, and very professional from start to finish. Everything about the process felt clear and straightforward—no games, no hidden surprises. After dealing with plenty of travel stress, it was such a relief to be treated with respect and honesty.
I would absolutely rent a car here again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Puerto Rico.
We rented a car here and honestly had a bad experience. The first reason was that we rented a car and needed it a day earlier but were told that no cars were available. So we had to take ubers for 1 day. After we returned the car at 4:45 am we almost missed our flight because the shuttle service runs super slow and driver took her sweet time to get us to the airport. You will save money here but you sacrifice service and risk possibly losing your flight.
