Beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Kinda secluded which was nice. There is a parking lot that you pay $5 then about a 3 minute walk to falls. The descent down is steep and rocky but definitely worth it. The water is deep and cold but perfect for a hot day. There is a swing and plenty of spots to climb and jump. Definitely a good time!
amazing spot with fresh, clear water plus theres not a lot of fishes due to the current. the swing has a big tree in front of it and if you jump from it you jump into a giant rock, can see why so many people have accidents here. the water rises significantly after noon so keep an eye out. the current can get really strong to the point where youre constantly swimming and going nowhere. lots of cool rocks everywhere, so theres spots to stand and leave your things in. super fun, water was nice and cold, so refreshing. highly recommend. obvi stay away if its rained before. it was a weekday and it was pretty full, can imagine its too much during weekends.
Yes they are slippery rocks , but you are in a waterfall … Pay the 5 bucks , take the 3 min walk and explore . Great place to see the nature aspects of a true waterfall .
Just do not go up there if it is raining , go on a nice sunny day
Beautiful river. So peaceful if you go on the early hours of the morning because belive me when I say it can get very crowded. The access is control by the neighboring people who charge 5$ for parking. Like every river it can be very dangerous specially if it's raining so always take precautions and check the weather. Don't leave trash behind.
We arrived around 10am on a weekday and there was not really anyone there. There is a parking lot you pay $5 to park and then take a pretty easy but steep 5 minute walk down to the falls. There we jumped from several rocks into the clean cool water, hung out for a bit and then headed out to hit up a beach. Once we got to the parking lot we met Nelson. He gave us a sample of his cane moonshine and we talked for a bit. My bf is from Guaynabo, PR and has lots of family still there so I left them chatting and having a little smoke while I used the restroom. His pistachio cane moonshine was so delicious we bought a bottle for $30 and he sent us on our next adventure to La Zanja. A place mainly only locals know about and is difficult to find and get to. I fully recommend checking out hippie waterfall and chatting with Nelson and trying his moonshine if he is there.
