DO NOT follow the Google pin that takes you to the top of the mountain. Use the “All Trails” hiking app or read the instructions from other reviewers to find the trailhead by the riverbed and save yourself from bouldering down the mountain face after a trecherous ascent in your vehicle (which better have AWD or 4x4). Ask me how I know. 🙃
Beautiful place once you arrive via the very well marked trail with flags and arrows. Go early in the summertime to avoid risks of rains and rushing water in the afternoons.
Most private and beautiful waterfall on earth! Enjoy the natural experience alone in the rainforest! Swim in the natural refreshing clear water! Hike is about an hour each way or 2.5 miles total.
Not an easy hike and the directions shown here will NOT take you to the beginning of the trail. If driving, I suggest to turn around once the roads are not paved anymore unless it’s a lifted off road vehicle. Other than that, beautiful spot, just please; pick up the trash and be cordial with the locals that head there.
Wow! What a gorgeous and beautiful place. I’ve gone three times and I can’t wait for the fourth. Timed myself during the hike, takes about 40 minutes if you have a fast pace, It’ll take an hour if your with friends or family. There are red tapes and paints to help you guide through the river. Bring water and stay safe!!! Top 5 waterfalls in Puerto Rico for me, love this place!!
Awesome hike to a beautiful waterfall. Wear shoes you’re okay getting wet and be aware there are some sections of rock scrambles. Keep to the right at the dam and then follow the arrows/markers up.
