Costa Bahía Hotel Paseo Caribe

Upon Entry, i had to go to the second floor. Once i was there i was greeted professionally, and had to wait on check in time (4pm) which was understandable, so they offered to hold my bags for me. (Appreciated it) After entering the room and observing it, it was an executive suite by the way.. There was a literal piece of hair on the bed, and outside the shower. The floor was also dusty, i walked around with my shoes for the rest of the stay, and lay towels for when i step in and out the shower. You can never reach the front desk as the phones won’t work. You have to constantly leave your room. I spoke about it and they say they will send someone. Doubt that will happen. I asked to have a wake up call just incase, when time came no one called. Glad i was already awake. Not to mention they take money out of your card for security purpose of $150. (It will be returned after your stay 5-7days) Understandable, but due to the quality of the place i wouldn’t say that is necessary and its very inconvenient, they should have mentioned this on their website. I loved the gym and the gym from my room. I won’t be returning or recommending to folks i know.

Location is the only thing you'll enjoy. I wish I would've read the reviews before I booked. We booked a presidential suite with ocean view. As soon as we walked into the room we were greeted with a heavy mold/mildew smell. Everything was damp in the entire room. Carpet is disgusting. Moldy fixtures. Barely cleaned room. Shower didn't work. Ice/vending area smelled as if someone was dead inside the room. Thr view is beautiful but I will not be back

I had an extremely frustrating experience at this hotel. There was a duplicate charge for my room, and even before my trip, I tried contacting the manager several times by phone and email, but never received any response. During my stay, I only managed to find the manager, Rafael, after a lot of effort. He guaranteed that he would fix the issue and refund the amount charged to my card. On my last day at the hotel, I once again had to chase him down — he was never around, and no other staff member could help. When I finally spoke to him, he said the refund wasn’t processed because of a system issue with the bank over the weekend, but promised it would be resolved early the following week. I returned home, and the refund was never issued. I kept calling the hotel, but Rafael was never available. After many attempts, another employee gave me a different contact number. I spoke with Rafael again — he repeated the same excuse, then blocked me and never responded again. On top of the financial issue, the hotel service was disappointing. My room was not cleaned properly, towels were not replaced, and overall, it was a chaotic and stressful experience. For a hotel of this size, I expected much more professionalism. The staff is untrained, unhelpful, and instead of solving problems, they avoid them, lie, and ignore guests. This hotel was very nice! The rooms were excellent, and they stay VERY cool. The service was excellent as well. The location is tricky to get to if you’re not from around the area, and the parking is a bit of a walk. Other than that, I very much enjoyed my stay!

I stayed at Costa Bahía Hotel for 4 days. The presidential suite was good. Great location, view, service. Parking available, but you need to walk 3 or 4 minutes. Not bad at all. There is no pool, but there is a gym, continental breakfast is available. Staff members were very friendly. I would stay there again!
