Park Royal Homestay Club Cala Puerto Rico

We are home owners of Wyndham there sister to rci, we've been here 3 years ago and it was a great stay room and all. This time they gave us a room that smells like pee and mold, the outlets don't work in master bathroom or bedroom. I couldn’t do my hair in bathroom cuz of no working outlets had to do it upstairs bedroom as well as there bathroom didn’t work as well. Ac worked great downstairs but not in kids room upstairs, they kept complaining about being hot. Our door had to be pushed in hard to open every time we open we had to pushed hard w our body. The door seem has so many broken wood from being pushed hard. I think they would fix it nope. We were in room 955 infront of boats were it smelled bad, so we couldn’t sit on balcony. Our sliding doors for outside forget it too hard, even my husband got frustrated. I pulled vein in finger trying to open my bedroom door. We had 6 people and they only gave us 4 towels needed more and they never came so I went to Walmart and bought some. Honestly will never go back to this resort. When I called and complained they put me on hold and said sorry we can’t move u, will come fix problems but they never came. Definitely need upgrade. One of the most frustrating changes is the removal of free parking. What used to be included for all guests is now an extra $25 per day which really adds up. The only “free” option left is an unofficial dirt lot down with so many deep potholes, so uneven which was crazy. It was so hard to find/ get a spot in after dinner. We rented a gulf car which we have done in past and this time it was very inconvenient they no longer had them there we had to call target which was only 7 minutes but again w no parking spot like before they had a lot for gulf car now it’s down the street in the dirt, w the cars which again was full every single day before 7.

I booked here through RCI, as an holiday inn club vacation timeshare owner and was expecting a lot nicer accommodations. Honestly I felt really embarrassed to bring my family here. Embarrassed. Everything here is Very ancient. From the TVs, bathrooms, it’s not what you’d expect. And very dirty. I could wipe dirt off the floors, table, doors. The broom and dustpan are falling apart. They very clearly are not using anybodies money to improve the location. The staff were pleasant enough, i don’t have any complaints about them-I would like to say they were good but then again if they were good the housekeeping would be better.

I got a pricey 3 floor condo through Airbnb for a romantic trip and I was super embarrassed. This place looks so old, like it stayed in the 70s era, it felt like going to my grandma's house. I mean the Airbnb pictures were so different and nothing compared with reality when we got there. The place looks so dirty and so even creepy. Even the parking is so confusing like there's no signs of where to park and there's no parking near the complex so it's really a long walk, there's no handicap parking near the condos. The unit is not handicap accessible at all. There is no internet service at all. The staff was very rude. The only good thing was the pool and the restaurants nearby. Other than that, the whole complex needs a serious update asap. I am not recommending this place and not planning on coming back anytime soon.

When we first checked into our rooms we found mold on the walls above the showers. We got housekeeping to clean it with bleach but it's something that should have been identified and addressed before assigning to guests. Also, the staff do not get the guests unless greeted first. We, request resort vacationers, found that a bit off-putting. Lastly, the signage for parking need to be more directive. When we first pulled up we didn't know where to park and got stuck in an adjacent lot for nearly twenty minutes.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was very accommodating and rooms were very clean. Parking lot was abit chaotic but otherwise very nice place to stay. A pic of my parking spot
