Prices were good.
At 8pm on a Saturday there was a line. Waited 45 minutes just to place my order. Waited another 20 minutes for it to come out. I got one pasta dish and a drink. I think they forgot/lost my order to be honest. The person I was with ordered after me and was done eating by the time I got my food. I saw a similar dish to mine given out twice before the cashier went over and asked the guy prepping the food why I was still waiting. Thank god for her. I then watched the person in back start making it and it came out a few minutes later. A couple of employees were just standing around in the back, while there was a continuous line to the door. I was curious what their jobs were. There were only 3 people actually working.
Other people sitting down and eating went back to the counter after they got their food, fixing mistakes and forgotten items. It happened multiple times while I waited. Some tables went back more than once. It was not encouraging.
I was a bit disturbed by the large tubs of raw chicken wings sitting out in the middle of the prep area, seemingly unchilled. I don't know how long they were out before we arrived, but they were still there when we left an hour later and no one had touched them.
I also wondered how they kept the cooked fried chicken hot (maybe it wasn't, I didn't get it). There were piles of each type of fried chicken under the heat lamps. A few pieces were taken while I was there, but not enough to justify the large piles prepped. And it was 8pm; do they just like throwing out a bunch of chicken when they close? Weird.
Fast food that tastes good and is a good price in Isla Verde area? This is a good option!
I was a little overwhelmed as I’m not a confident Spanish speaker, but, I sifted through their online menu before I headed in there and that was very helpful!
The online menu is in Spanish also
But… there are pictures! This helped out a lot!
I ordered from what I’m assuming is their $1 menu… it was actually $1.69 per item but for $9, I had plenty of food and it was pretty good!
I ordered the:
Pechu Krunchy Sandwich - (simply fried chicken sandwich with some kind of sauce and pickles)
Pechu Taco- (Flour tortilla with 1 chicken finger, mashed potatoes, and cheese.)
Papas Majadas- (Mashed Potatoes)
Corn nuggets- (little fried corn hash browns- really good!!)
2 Honey Biscuits
It was by no means a healthy meal, but it was good and hit the spot.
If you’re looking for some quick food in the area, give this Church’s a try! Enjoy!
Avoid at all costs. Food was abysmal. Service was even worse. Filthy. Workers not washing hands, wearing gloves, etc. Have to pay for parking even if driving through. Seriously. I don't care how hungry you are. Go somewhere else.
The food was hot and decent, and they were really patient with my English only needs. They went out of their way to make sure my parking was validated.
Chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mango smoothie is good. The biscuit are to die for ... so good with the sweet honey glaze and melt in your mouth ♡
