My advice: do not rent here. Property is not as described and is falling down. Our visit to the “grand chalet” started with the owner sending us several unhinged messages on the rental platform while we were still in a Florida airport, accusing us of trying to get in early. When we did arrive, it was to discover that this property is covered in cameras both inside and outside. Luckily we could unplug the ones inside. The beds were not comfortable-thin mattresses on springs. The so called kitchen? A former patio that was enclosed without the benefit of air conditioning or screened windows. Despite the listing, there was no oven-just a couple of dirty air fryers and a microwave. The grill they offered was literally rusting apart, we had to prop up the grates with bricks we took from the remains of a gazebo. Bathrooms are small and decrepit; and every day, we got about five minutes in hot water before it ran out and we all took cold showers. The shower on the bottom floor hosted a large mosquito colony. The furniture is all SUPER uncomfortable, it’s outdoor furniture they’ve placed inside. The pool table was barely usable, pool sticks broken. The ceiling in the basement leaked and had obviously been doing so for a while; I’m amazed this place hasn’t burned down as it leaks through the light fixtures. The pool is nice but you have to walk across rough concrete to get to it, and every move is watched by the cameras. The view on one side is lovely-a gorgeous river-but you’re right next to the road on the other side and you get a lot of traffic and road noise. Phone calls to the owner went directly to a voicemail and were never returned. Text messages were only returned the last day of our stay. Avoid!
Super quiet, beautiful, and the nature and atmosphere are great for vacationing and spending time with friends or family. It has a pool table and stairs to get to the river. I recommend it.
