Wife and I decided to have a fancy dinner night since we were on the Island for our honeymoon and it honestly did not disappoint. Let me first start with making a reservation, you can make a reservation using the opentable app and it's as simple as just signing up and choosing available times. If you are not staying at the Ritz resort, your reservation name will be enough to let you in to the premises. How to get there: Make sure if you're using Google maps, you go through the route which takes you through the round about. The road going into the resort right next to the round about is the best way to get in. Give the entrance security your name on the reservation and you're good to go. Once in, make sure youre driving slow and keep an eye out for signs. Google map will get you in the resort towards the restaurant but not exactly where it is. Make sure to turn into the narrow entrance that says "WEST BEACH" and then keep going straight until you reach an area covered all around where you can park (you'll have to drive a few minutes in). Now that you are here, walk up the paved road, and into the beautiful entrance for Flor De Sal. Its absolutely beautiful. We ordered the Burrata, Salmon filet and Shrimp fettuccine and I think that was one of the best fresh mozzarella cheese and salmon fish ive ever had in my life. The shrimp fettuccine tasted amazing but the spaghetti seemed undercooked. Not too big of a deal honestly. The desserts are to die for. The green and black tea we got was really good as well, although they were just teabags. I was hoping to get a freshly brewed cup but it still was delightful. Overall, the experience was one for the memories. Amazing food, amazing ambiance, definitely worth the date night.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here. We had high hopes, and we weren’t disappointed. My rating is based on a fine dining experience…comparing it to other fine dining restaurants’ food, prices, service, etc. We have eaten at Koa a couple of times (also located at the Ritz), but felt that the interior decor there was a bit dated and there were a bit too many children for our taste. This place, on the other hand, had very nice ambiance and nary a child to be found. It’s all open air dining, despite the option of booking inside when you place a reservation. There is a large traditional dining room feel area above, and a smaller area near the bar with more of a pool view. There should be ocean views, but we dined late and couldn’t see it due to darkness. We tried several of the cocktails (El Behique, Brinner, Costa Dorada, and the Porta Spritz). One piece of feedback I provided was that their signature cocktails didn’t list ingredients, so I couldn’t really tell if I’d like them…so we simply didn’t order from that section. I expect they may change that. Before our food arrived, they brought a lovely bread basket with Kalamata olive crisps and a small warm loaf of crusty bread. The olive oil served with it was amazing and fruity. The balsamic oil and salt were also very nice. We started with the burrata appetizer. They make the burrata in-house, and you can tell. It’s an adorable purse looking pouch of fresh mozzarella filled with creamy, flavorful goodness. They served it with bread, olives, roasted bell peppers, slightly pickled young carrots & zucchini, and topped with a couple of pea shoots. We liked everything except the pickled veggies, which didn’t go well with the rest of the dish. However, we pushed this aside and really enjoyed this dish. We would definitely order this again. My husband ate spaghetti parmigiano, which had a red sauce and opted to add mushrooms. He said it was comfort food. I ate the small wagyu steak. It was seasoned well. The steak sauce was also seasoned well, and the combination was a bit salty…but the horseradish cream was heavenly with the steak. The menu says it’s served with potatoes, but there was a large serving of roasted mushrooms with the potatoes which was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t feel as if the meal was as carb heavy as it would have been otherwise. For dessert, we shared the chocolate rocher cake. It was lighter than expected and my chocolate loving husband enjoyed it. I really liked the raspberry sorbet they served it with. They served a complimentary chocolate and a shot of house made limoncello at the conclusion of our meal, which was a nice touch. Service was good. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We had one small issue where we were forgotten for a while and had to ask for a dessert menu, but overall we were happy. They have a couple little kinks to work out on their menus, but we think that’ll all be resolved soon (they’ve only been open for about 1 month). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, and we will definitely be back. Parking is a small lot across from the restaurant on the tiny road. You sort of have to walk up the road to cross over and get there. (There are separate lots for regular cars vs golf carts - be sure to park in the correct lot.)

Great restaurant.. the pasta is surprisingly good and there are just the right varieties. Very good environment even though I still question the name which should be in French.

Excellent Italian dining option at the Ritz Reserve Dorado Beach Resort. It’s all outdoor dining around a large pool area but there’s plenty of covered seating too under a pavilion area. The food we had was tasty. The linguine with clams was excellent as was spaghetti bolognese. Drinks were good as well. All in all a wonderful meal and experience.
