Beautiful property. The pools and grounds were very well maintained. The staff was always very friendly. The rooms were nice- had kitchenette. Definitely recommend renting a car, otherwise it’s hard to get to popular destinations.
Amazing resort! Everything you could ask for in a tropical paradise. The golf courses we're so beautiful, ocean, beaches, river, pools, good food all around the area, and great customer service - couldn't ask for more!
Very scenic. Played the river course and all the holes you got the Yunque and the palm trees in the background. The greens are in good condition. Very friendly staff.
Golf review only! Very disappointed. Been looking forward to playing here since moving to PR. Thought since it was Troon it would be in good shape but it was not! Range - bad. Greens - bad. Grass - long and fluffy. Tee boxes - very bad. Home #16 is the only ocean hole. Took a moment to enjoy the beach. But the hole was in bad shape and really long for a par 3. Staff was friendly and that was the only good thing. I don’t think I’ll play there again.
Edit: I have since played here three more times lol. I honestly prefer the River Course over the Ocean. The key is to go when it’s been really hot and sunny. Too much rain and the course just floods. They’ve done a better job maintaining the course since the first time I went.
All photos are of the ocean course
This course offers a fun and challenging layout with plenty to keep you engaged. The clear, tranquil river and stunning mountain backdrops add a serene, scenic touch to your round. The fairways were in decent condition, but the greens showed noticeable wear, which felt underwhelming given the steep green fee. Tee boxes could also use some attention. That said, the abundance of risk-reward holes makes for exciting gameplay, with strategic options off the tee adding a layer of thrill. A mix of beauty and challenge, though maintenance could be improved. This course versus Royal Isabela in terms of upkeep wins. And it’s a better value at almost $35 cheaper.
