Amazing experience. We found this tour on Google and went ahead with it based on previous reviews and recommendations from people but we absolutely enjoyed it. The guy is so passionate about his work and makes sure you have a memorable experience. We had a small tasting session which was amazing and we even bought a couple of them to take home with us. He did not charge us until the end of the tour and he was very genuine. There are signs on the road to help navigate you to the correct spot and the people here are so friendly. Our car didn't go all the way up so we had some difficulty so please make sure you can as the road that leads to the plantation is very narrow and steep. Overall, we completely enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this activity.
I highly recommend visiting Hacienda Encanto Natural. We had a great experience with Frankie, the owner, showing us around and educating us on the different processes he uses to process his coffee, what to look for when harvesting beans, and the different types of coffee he grows. The hacienda is beautiful and his animals seem to love running around on the property. We got to pick out 2 types of coffee for tasting as well as his iced coffee and even tried cascara tea. We also enjoyed planting our own coffee plants which was really special.
One of those places that you wish you could give more than 5 stars. Simply incredible.
Frankie is warm open, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. His hacienda is in the most beautiful setting up in the mountains, so even the drive there is enjoyable.
Do yourself a favor, if you are in the area go visit, you won’t regret it.
What a fun time, we did the tour with another family and it was so much fun. Great way to spend an afternoon and learn all about how a coffee farm works. Appreciate the other review that mentioned the driveway, it's nuts... but with it.
We enjoyed the best coffee I've ever tasted, right on the slopes where the coffee is grown, processed, and prepared. They offer different varieties and processes, natural, burnt honey, and wash (which I am more used to). I would recommend to call ahead; we were lucky to catch them open. If I could give 6 stars I would; it was a highlight of our week in Puerto Rico!
