My experience was a while ago,but I still wanted to share, in case it could help anybody. The first time I went everything was excellent, I even bought some earrings there. The second time I went to add more highlights and retouch the color. The stylist came in late so I waited about 15- to 20 in the chair (fine). We choose the color the process was all good , she told me that she was going to put a mask on my hair, everything cool. When I saw the results it wasn't that good honestly, the color didn't go evenly and I had some pieces more blonde and others more copper. Since I ask for the same service again I thought it would be about the same price, it was more cause of the mask. I wished this was communicated when they put the mask on so I don't get a little surprise at the end. Also looking back I wish they denied me service or gave me a realistic expectation of what my hair was going to look like. At the time I didn't know but now I know that my hair was too damage/porous for the color to look even and nice. I understand that y'all can't make magic, but please let me know so I don't expect the same results. Other than that it was good.
Had my hair cut by Laura twice and got rid of all the processed hair and went natural. Big leap for me as I had processed my hair since I was 13 and now I’m 80. Liked the cut very much and I had my hair dyed. Was very pleased
Went back to touch up the hair color and see about doing something to soften the curl and was assign another gal as Laura was on vacation. She was very eager to please and said that all I needed was to touch up the color and style with a gel and something else. She dyed my hair with the formula on record and I bought the 2 products she styled my hair with. Later in the day when my hair dried I didn’t like the way my hair felt with the gel and apparently she didn’t measure the color correctly and I had jet black hair. Went to another salon and had them take out the color and redo it which was very costly.
I still wanted to smooth out the curl as Laura once mentioned that they offered such service, so I called the salon to make an appointment to do that. The receptionist told me she was going to assign the same gal who had taken care of me the last time. I told her that I wanted someone who specializes in that treatment And she responded that the same gal will do it. So that’s when I told her about my hair coming out black the last time and didn’t want to take any chances because I don’t want to loose the curl just smooth it a bit.
Got a letter from Laura that I was no longer welcomed at the salon since I didn’t like the job they did and that they would not let me exchange the products that I bought for other products but will keep the tax I paid for the products and mail me a check for the difference.
Still baffled and perplexed.
I saw a video on IG about this amazing curly hair salon specialist! 🤩 Decided on our Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 vacation to treat him to this marvelous experience. Lucero suggested maranta shampoo, antifreeze spray and gel for home care. #HairGoals #Salon #CurlyHair #PuertoRico #Vacation #HairCare we are so happy with the results.
The moment I walked in I was treated amazingly. Everyone had a smile and a greeting ! The place is amazing.
Gladimar took care of me, she cut my hair and styled it . She went above and beyond and explained the process to comb and style it ! I’m very happy with the results .
I was treated as a queen. I even got a complementary hot lemon tea !
So in love with this place 💜
Thank you for making my experience the best.
First time visiting the salon during my trip to PR. I thought I was not going to get an appointment with such short notice, but I did, and I am glad. The appointment was easy to book. The rep was helpful. You will have to fill a waiver before your visit and give a deposit. Which is standard.
My stylist's name: Gladimar
Service: 11/10
Last time I cut my hair, I had a bad experience (it was my fault, I decided to go to Ulta for a curly haircut since its cheap, not saying they are bad but not everybody can work with curly & style hair, but I digress).
The cut was $85, which is better than what I pay in the USA for a curly cut.
Their products are great (Maranta Power). Gladimar knew which product would work best with my frizzy hair and told me which ones would work so that I could order them.
Parking is a difficult task due to the location. I don't think you will find one in front of the studio, so plan ahead. Have someone take you there or take an Uber.
To enter the studio, press the doorbell located to the right side of the door. The building door is locked (I did not see it at first, someone had to help me )
