A horrible and frustrating experience. I brought my mom to the hospital with clear signs of a stroke, and we spent almost 10 hours in the waiting room without anyone taking her vitals. Even though we explained it was an emergency, she was not treated as a priority.
When they finally the doctor saw her, we waited another 5 hours just to be told there was no neurologist available, and that we had to transfer her to another hospital. During that long wait, my mom, in the middle of a stroke, lost control of her bowels and soiled herself in the waiting room, and not a single nurse came to help us. No assistance, no compassion.
It was a truly dehumanizing situation. The lack of empathy, organization, and basic medical care was unbelievable. This is not what you expect from a place that’s supposed to save lives. Deeply disappointed. I really hope the administration takes this seriously—no one should ever have to go through something like this.
The care during the 8 days that mom was on the third floor was excellent. Dr. Juan Colón, Dr. Figueroa, the other physicians, the nurses, the cleaning staff — in short, the entire 24-hour team — exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived at the emergency room, the staff on duty, although limited, provided excellent service. On behalf of the Rosado Muñoz family, we are eternally grateful.
Really good place to have your CT scans and X Rays done. I didn't have to wait long, was treated with respect, and was referred by my doctor to go there.
On August 25, 2024. Went there at 7pm. I went in with chest pain and some abdominal pain. My chest pain was ignored and I was not taken care of for 5 hours. I had to leave around 12am the next day. The male nurse that wanted to take my blood out was NOT using gloves, did NOT washed his hands and was playing on his phone taking calls, and messaging on WhatsApp by voice. After touching his phone he did NOT washed his hands and went in to take blood out of a young girl. The male nurse even confused me with another patient. Horrible, disgusting male nurse.. I could not sit there and let him touch me. I literally ran. Don’t go there!
Worst hospital in Puerto Rico. Mother in law was there for 3 weeks. Her oxygen and blood pressure was high went in for pain in her bladder . She was bleeding so bad. Doctor did not treat her for that . They treated her for an infection. Released her sent her home. Had to go back to emergency room because she could not breathe. This hospital is not fit for dogs. Do not go to this hospital if you want to live. They don’t care for you. All they is $$$$$$
