State of the art. Compassionate staff who went above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. I grew up around Baltimore and had the pleasure of spending a considerable amount of time at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Hospital de la Concepcion is by far the better of the two. The ER staff were very warm and caring. Debbie and. Melissa were very giving and generous. I wish I could have spoken more Spanish. I am a Pacific Islander who was raised in the Washington DC area and speak very little Spanish unfortunately. Pero yo encanta Puerto Rico ! ! !
Outstanding service, i.e cleannes in all aspects threw out the entire hospital, doctors putting the extra effort to listen and pin point the correct diagnosis. Nurses are very concerned with your health. My health and state of mind couldn't be in better hands. This is what a hospital should operate all the time. My hat goes out to the director and staff. Job well done 👏 bravo.
Unfortunately, I did have a bad experience. With security staff, I traveled on a Saturday, and they told me, gotta be one person that day because the person was getting therapy and wasn't visiting time, and they told me to come back Sunday at 4 pm, that I was goingto be able to go upstairs with my wife, and when we arrived we couldn't ,
They lied to us, don't bring your family or kid if you're not willing to leave them alone in the waiting room full of Stangers.🙄
I had a liver biopsy there recently. Although it was not a pleasant situation, the staff was great! They were pleasant and attentive. I loved the way they worked as a team. I could see that they loved their jobs. They Attended to my every neen from admissions to recovery. The Dr was the same. A wonderful human being.
I am disappointed with a few things here, mom was in the emergency room a few days ago at around 10am and was admitted here but didn't get a room til 1am due to the high volume of patients there. The nurses were nice and helpful but need to work better on attending patients in a timely manner, due to long wait time for my mom to be attended, but I think it has to do with them being short staffed. The surgeon who was performing the knee surgery on my mom did not come see patient not once during her stay even when my mom requested it, to interduce himself and clear any questions or concerns about procedure that she had til the day of the surgery and it was because my mom requested to see him before surgery once again. They sent my mom down stairs to the 2nd floor to prepare for surgery early in the morning at like 7am to not under go procedure til after 1pm because the surgeon arrived late and I was also told there was a longer wait time due to other surgeons operating patience with other cases and the orthopedic surgeon had to wait his turn. So i found that a little disorganized with scheduled time. My mom had to be waiting with an empty stomach since the night before. To finish this off I was very upset at the surgeon sending my mom home the same day of the surgery when my mom was feeling dizziness, light headed and in pain. I requested if she can have a 24 hr observation before going home since i know she gets easily light headed and looses balance but the doctor refused and didn't consider it at all even with the circumstances. Also the doctor didn't send clear instructions on after care at home nor did he explain if my mom can take the medication prescribed combined with her daily meds.the only reason I rated a 3 star was because of the nurses other wise it would have been a 1 star for me.
