Medical attention for tourist in PR is a bit different than in the states. We are accustom to googling places like “urgent care/clinic” when we need quick medical attention. PR has concierge medicine, so unless you are a paid member chances of you being seen in one of these “urgent clinics” are pretty slim. Because who wants to go to an ER while on vacation?! This is how I ended up at Pavia ER. The building is old and does seem to need some repairs up keep. It’s a bit over crowded, but it didn’t smell and the bathrooms were clean. I was seen by Dr Purcell and I’m very happy I did. He listened to my needs. He is attentive and has excellent bedside manners. I was in and out within 2 hours and he made sure I had the medication I needed to enjoy my vacation.
terrible....te tienen en ayuna hasta las 230pm y cancelan El processo callaito. (hasta que chequio una visita, no dijeron nada!)
Terrible.....they have you fasting until 230pm and they quietly canceled the procedure. (it wasn't till my visitors went to ask about it at 230pm that we were made aware that there was no procedure, and the staff said nothing)
I had a great experience with the nurses and doctors that attended my newborn and I. Very easy for my spouse to come and visit us during visiting hours. I would recommend this hospital to give birth at. The food was healthy and delicious during our stay. Nurses were very attentive to my needs.
If there was a negative 1 billion, I would give that rating. My name is wrong on my file despite the fact they were given my insurance card and ID. My husband spelled my name probably 8 times for them. I spent 6 hours waiting for ANY treatment despite the fact I was dehydrated, and when I FINALLY saw a doctor, he said he understood I had fallen. I didn't even come close to falling, and falling was never mentioned to anyone. Now, I need to pay my copay for the sorry treatment I was given, and no one will answer the phone! Unbelievable! I really liked PR, but I won't go back to that hospital... EVER. This is my first time in my life I have had to go to a hospital while traveling.

a month ago(Radiology section) Absolute waste of time and incompetent staff. Arrived early and left late when it should of been in and out within 40 minutes.
