Late night ER visit. Staff was nice, had a doctor within an hour who was patient and thorough. Nobody wants to go to the hospital but I felt it was a quality experience.
The emergency service is slower than melasas. Expect to wait 6 to 9 hours to be seen. Took my cousing with a dislocated shoulder and a fracture in the arm and waited 9 hours befoe the took some actin with he dislocated shoulder. Then it was sent home with the fracture unantended. While there in the emergency room I asked for water for her and I was told by the front desk that they did not provide water, the hospital removed all the water fountains, the staff have to bring their own water, and that if I wanted water there was a vending machine outside at the entrance which by the way it was empty of bottled water. You may get better humanitarian treatment in africa. Avoid going there.
First, the hospital is nasty and has poor attitudes in general. Starting with the entrance, they have dress codes where you're not even allowed to wear shorts to visit someone. Then they don’t provide masks, or are there enough hand sanitizer dispensers around. That’s just the entrance once you go to the rooms. I checked on my grandfather, and he didn’t even have the emergency button in case he needed a doctor. The sick didn’t have hand soap and had asked for some for 2 days. The lack of hostal lack nurses and doctors alike. The place is a terrible experience for the patients and visitors alike. I'm not going to even start with the malpractice that is happening.
By far this is the best hospital in Puerto Rico. Is totally different and very professional staff. Only downfall is the cafeteria and pharmacy are closed on weekends and a lady of the ER admission department need to work with their attitude. Other than this, this hospital is great.
The administration and organization is trash. The front desk people trash as well. For a for-profit hospital this is piss poor. Go elsewhere, anywhere.
