It was my first time taking my gringo husband to P.R,and our experience with the place was extremely romantic,an outer body experience, so soreal,very artsy, bohemian,rooms very nice,I swear that everytime I time travel back to visit I have after Shok orgasms, I promise you won't disappoint. And the owner looks like woody Harrison.

When I travel I’m fully aware of my accommodation experience prior to my arrival. I’ve done everything from villas to couch surfing. Research, research, research! Mine led me to this amazing gem for someone seeking to live the life of a true native of the island. Located on THE STREET of old San Juan, walking distance from all that you could potentially need or want to experience. The aura of not only the location, owner, staff and fellow renters was so welcoming and refreshing for the soul. Communication of my late arrival made my check in smooth, as well as the approved request I had to store my bike inside. The breakfast is worth it! Olga’s presentation and pallet was perfect. Charlie dropped knowledge on me that I will definitely always remember and all the art is captivating. Having my own room with a balcony to meditate and take in the beauty of the city fulfilled my purpose for visiting. Being a solo traveling female safety is huge for me and I never had a moment of worry in this oasis. I recommend this location for first time travelers looking for a more authentic experience of island life, open minded individuals not looking to stay at a resort and adventure seekers. I look forward to returning.

Gotta be honest, you get what you pay for here but hey, that's why it's a hostel and not a hotel. There's no air conditioning, pad locks for the doors and plenty of mosquitos (at least in July). However, you will be greeted by a friendly and very helpful staff that know a lot about the area. The atmosphere is very laid back and safe, code to enter the stairway from the street and key to unlock the main door so no need to worry. The location is amazing and the views from the balcony in the room can't be beat. If you're looking for an authentic, adventurous stay in Old San Juan, I'd definitely recommend this place.

My flight landed at 9:30 am, check in wasn't until 2 however I called to see if I could leave my bags while I explore and was notified my room was ready and awaiting my arrival, and was charged no extra fee for that.. Bonus! Next, I was greeted by Charlie which whom was very welcoming, pleasent, and knowledgeable as well as helpful with any questions I had.. Bonus!! Next, I wound up loosing my phone at Crash Boat needed to get another but had no clue or direction.. Inquired with the owner, and he invited me to join him at the Mall, as he was headed there as well.. Bonus!!!! If you're traveling smart, and want to live like the locals and still be in the epicenter of Old San Juan, this is the place for you. Small, super sexy, and very quaint. The balcony is perfect for any meal of the day, or even just to chill and have a few drinks while the sun goes down. Everything is literally surrounding you. Market around the corner, Beach to the left and right (5 min walk), endless restaurants in any direction... $1 shots up the block... What else do you need? If you want to spend tourist prices and have absolutely no fun, this is not the place for you... Looking to turn up, and live like the locals, STAY HERE!!!!!!

I had an absolutely fantastic time here! Eddy treated us like family, with care and generosity, and gave us his expertise on the best places to travel and eat every day. I felt safe at this place for seven full days and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. A community feel, incredible view, centrally located, with the most affordable rate in Old San Juan.
